Team Kit Order

The store will close midnight of September 1st.
Sorry Phil, but I'm a little bit slow. Do we have the whole day of September 1st or does it close on the 1st minute of September 1st?  I may have missed the midnight lesson in grade school.
You have until the evening of Tuesday to place an order.
is it possible to add long length version to razor carbon bibs?
Chi - there's no separate version for different lengths. If it's available, you'll be able to choose the length once you click on the razor carbon bibs (just like the razor bib shorts).
Anyone have suggestions for the right type of shoe covers in this part of the world?

If you are going to ride outside through the winter, then the thickest neoprene/fleece booties you can find are mandatory. Wool socks and chemical foot warmers add another level of protection for those of us who aren't blessed with naturally hot feet.

And if you can afford it, I recommend a lighter weight shoe cover for those days when it's like 40-50 degrees.
I wear a 43 Bontrager road shoe and 43 Fizik mtn / cross shoe.  Will the size L bootie be the appropriate size or should I move down to a M?
@Scott Kuhlke

go with the large. a little more space in the neoprene booties is not going to be an issue, but too little space starts to compress things and that means less bloodflow, which ends up leading to cold feet.
I would not recommend the Champ-Sys winter booties. You'll get much better quality for your money if you go with a pair from retail.

I was going to say "Pearl Izumi" but I thought it would be too controversial.

I can't believe you went there.
Hi guys, any news when the last order will be shipped?
The latest order has arrived but I need time to bring it over to Redbeard this week. I'll post when everything's at Redbeard ready for pick up.
In truth Pearl's booties are actually pretty good.

Any chance you'll be at HPCX? Pick up there?

What are you on a first name basis now?
I have it on VERY good authority that Phil has delivered the latest order of kit to Redbeard.
Yes - if you ordered something last month at the team store, please stop by Redbeard Bikes and grab your stuff.

Hello team,  the kit order store will be open very soon.  We are just working out a few more things with Champion systems.

You will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to order.  In that email will also be a list of all of the dates that the team store will be open this coming year, so that you are able to plan ahead!

Remember, you can only order team kit if you have paid your 2016 membership dues!  Don't delay!
As a new member, I'd like to ask those familiar with the Champ Sys kits about fit and sizing. What has been everyone's experience? Is there a sizing guide? And if there is, have you found the guide true to the fit?
@MaxThorn
I would recommend you look at the Kit Connoisseur thread for all of that kind of info. There is some good discussion of what kinds of things to get, and what fits to size (most things fit to racing shape folks).
I've already found Kit Connoisseur useful, but it's a rather wide-ranging discussion in there. Plus, whether or not you're in racing shape doesn't change the length of your torso or your arms. I'm looking for specific experiences with Champ Sys's Kissena kit in anticipation of my first order. I've purchased enough cycling apparel to know that I should, for example, size up twice my usual size for Castelli bib tights but only once for their jerseys; that a Sugoi size M jacket is, surprisingly, long enough for my arms without being too loose around my chest and neck. I know these things from trial and error, either ordering online and incurring some shipping costs on exchanges or by trying on items in a shop. And with custom team kit, I wonder: do we have the opportunity to make exchanges or returns? If the many thousands of miles members have logged in Champ Sys gear have produced any remotely reliable rules of thumb for sizing, I'd love to hear them before I click "order." Or if I'm worrying about a problem that doesn't exist, and Champ Sys gear is manufactured true to measurements presented in a chart accompanying items available in our team store, then pardon me for getting ahead of myself.
Max, I can't tell you about Men's sizing, but I know there is the possibility of stopping by Champsys, which I believe is located in lower manhattan, if you're interested.

Unfortunately, there are no returns, but instead if something doesn't fit, you can post it on the forum and sell it to a teammate.  So, for a first order, as I did, it's best to only order a few things to see what fits. Or, maybe post your dimensions and we'll give you feedback?

Also, talk to people on Thursday at the social to find out what sizes they wear!
@MaxThorn want to move convo to the kit connoisseur thread? I have some thoughts on champ sys fit.
Max if you're really concerned you can drop by the Champ Sys office in Queens and try on all the pieces/sizes you like. They're super friendly and have fit kits just for this purpose.

The Champion System team store will be open on the following dates throughout 2016:

1. January 12th to January 19th
2. February 29th to March 7th
3. May 2nd to May 9th
4. June 28th to July 5th
5. August 22nd to August 29th
6. October 17th to October 24th

The store is open from midnight on the start date until 11:59pm on the end date. Once open, you will receive an email on how to access the store.  Please mark your calendars so that you can plan your purchases accordingly.  Remember, the order will generally take one month from closing until it will arrive at Redbeard Bikes for pickup.

Returns are not permitted, so please talk to other teammates to find out which sizes you should buy, or head over to Champion Systems in Brooklyn to try on sizes.
Again, only current members are eligible to buy kit.  All other orders will be cancelled!
Contrary to popular opinion here on the thread that Champsys is *NOT* based in a van parked alternately in Queens, Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. it is in one location:

218 Richardson Street. Brooklyn, NY 11222
Women's Team:

This is an important note regarding kit ordering.  For some reason, the nice bib shorts (Donna Forte Razor Bella Bib shorts) are not on the main list on the ordering page.  In order to find them, I had to click on all proofs and then it was located at the end of the second row.  There is one proof that says shorts and bibs that has pics of jerseys and skinsuits.  That is the one that has the nice new bib shorts that I've added to the order.

They are called the:
Donna Forte Razor Bella Bib shorts

*Make sure that you don't accidentally order the razor bella cycle shorts, as these are NOT bibs.  I did this by accident at first and I'm working on getting this removed from order choices.

Let me know if you have questions!
Remember:

Donna Forte Razor Bella Bib shorts

not

Bella Donna Forte Razor Bib shorts or the Donna Razor Forte Bella Bib Shorts
