I want to see you killing time trials in a skin suit that looks just like defective one, only without the problem.  So, I took the liberty of composing a letter to Chris Young of Champ-Sys.  Feel free to cut and paste along with that photo, with a tiny addition on your part--you need to put the product name in.

    I recently purchased the (put champ-sys product name here).  Coming out of winter, I haven't needed it.  But, as I'm focusing on time trials this year and I know I should make sure I'm 100% comfortable in my gear, I broke it out for a trainer ride.  

On that first trainer ride, the first time I ever wore the skin suit, the leg gripper ripped.  This is a Large, and I have never seen this problem before in other Champ-Sys clothing I have, and I have a lot.  No one else on Kissena has ever had this problem either.

I think this is a quality-control issue on the part of Champ-Sys, not a wearing issue of mine.  And it's quite a pricey item; I had hoped that the higher price meant higher quality.

What can Champ-Sys do to rectify this problem?

A few email back-and-forths with Champ-Sys' Chris Young and the problem was solved. Seems what I'm seeing on my Safari browser is not the latest store iteration.  I tried emptying cookies and reloading to no avail.  I opened in Firefox and it was there.

Not sure who to thank for this because I think we've gone through an e-board or two since 2014, but to whoever designed and ordered my 2014 club champion jersey, thank you!

Kasia e-mailed me today to say that my jersey was in and I had absolutely no idea what she was talking about.  I haven't placed a clothing order in some time (inverse correlation between time spent on bike and lifespan of kit).  I'm flattered that someone remembered and eager to don it in solemn remembrance of times when I was faster and fitter!

What's the best "summer" jersey (or, as a Captain Obvious might point out, 'the summer jersey, Scott!!') ?  

I hear the Razor jerseys fall apart after being pinned.  I have the Tech Edge jersey and its a bit too warm in the heat of summer.

Would y'all recommend going to Champ Sys IRL to try things on?

@BenFinoRadin I did, and I recommend it. I found their sizing kinda unpredictable. Mine surprised me. (XS lycra arm warmers, for example.) 

I really like the summer jersey, alot of mash panels def cooler than cs tech

I have the summer jersey.  really like it.  The arms and front and back panels don't stretch as much as the Tech and Airlight material, but the side pales, which are the same mesh as the bibs, stretches very well.  Overall, it stretches less well than the Airtight and Airpro, but it is super light.  If you want the super-close fit, the pricier jerseys are probably better.  I've taken them to Las Vegas and at 110+, they're about as comfy as one can expect from a top.

But, they are a bit see-through.   Not as much as the summer skin suit, where a good look can reveal if you've had your chest waxed or not, but if you wear a base layer with a print, people can tell.  I've never sunburned through the summer jersey, but seem to have tanned through it.  I have sunburned through the summer skin suit.  

And I have filled my pockets in the summer jersey without issue.

I think I've only raced in the jersey once or twice--the summer skin suit is more comfy--so I can't attest to the durability or lack thereof, of the fabric when it comes to dealing with pins.

I rarely wear the skin suit on training rides.

that written, the only other drawback, besides the possibility of sunburn during long races (mine was four hours long), is there are only two pockets in back.  But they're a pretty decent size.  Don't know if i'd race with a water bottle in one pocket, but other than that, they can handle lots.

Perfect timing for this as I recently tore two pairs of my bibs.  

Trying to pick the right size skinsuit... I wear large shorts and medium race cut top. 5'10 with 32" inseam. Any opinions on which skin suit is likely to be the best fit?

you want your skinsuit to be...how shall we say...TIGHT. If you take JP's recommendation if you wear medium top and large bibs, you should probably size down to an XS skinsuit.

OTOH I would recommend going with a medium skinsuit since you don't want flappy bits all over the upper half getting in the way of going fast/aero, and you can probably squeeze your legs into the medium shorts.
