I ended up buying a small size from Sean... it's a pretty snug fit, but I think would be fine for a TT or shorter RR.

Same as usual, 1 month from the date that the previous order closed.

According to FedEx, the new kit should be at Redbeard on Friday.  Please wait for an email before you head there though as FedEx often gets delayed.

Hi all, not sure if this is the appropriate place to post, but I was wondering if anyone has any old / unused kit that they would be willing to part with. Gonna be entering a handful of races this month before I'll have a chance to order anything, and would rather not have to borrow a jersey for each race (thanks @Dan Reiners for the loaner jersey this weekend).

If the s / xs do not work, I have medium bibs I'm can offload.  I also have a jersey to sell as well, race cut medium (old sponsors but same style as current).

Like this comment if you'd buy a Kissena t-shirt. I love Anti/Anti's design for our kits and believe the scheme could be easily adapted into simple, attractive t-shirts:

1. navy shirt with KISSENA in white letters across the chest, underlined in orange
2. white shirt with KISSENA in navy letters, with navy, white and orange bands across the chest--basically the shoulder design of the jersey adapted to a t-shirt
3. gray shirt with KISSENA in over-sized navy letter
4. gray shirt with the circular KCC logo on the chest in navy, white and orange

Anti-Anti has designed T-shirts and hoodies for us.

The issue has been finding someone to coordinate the process of picking a manufacturer, sales and distribution method. We've always tried to keep inventory close to zero.

Do I hear a volunteer?

Ah, I figured mine wasn't the first suggestion. But no team colors? For shame. Fly the flag! And too much text for my liking. Abercrombie & Fitch and American Eagle circa 2000 ruined the "Since X, Location Y" conceit for me: it is indelibly and unfortunately associated with middle school. I imagine this to be a strictly generational concern, but all in all, those t-shirts just aren't for me. 

So is the centerpiece of the problem with having t-shirts and hoodies how to sell exactly as many items as we order? If members other than me are interested in new designs (maybe @RileyHoonan could help me mock up some of my ideas?), then I'm interested in making them happen--but before I really commit I'd like to gauge interest, and know where those who have come before me have run into problems with manufacturing, sales and distribution.  

The hoodie seems nice for CX. I get Max's complaint about the A&F theme about them, granted we've been doing that back when A&F was an actual safari outfitter not a pervy softcore teen clothing juggernaut.

As for the pitfalls. I think it is just the combination of collecting money and getting orders. There are a million places that make custom t-shirt printing, so I would say making the selection. we could even just do a cafe press kind of thing and make it open for folks to buy it themselves but then it would be something anybody could buy even folks not on the team (I know that is sacrilege to some folks here).

Cafepress could be a good option - IIRC they have some sort of "private shop" option which would allow us to keep the shirts Kissena-only.

Personally I would be really stoked about something like an athletic jacket (kind of like http://gtmsportswear.com/product/Defender-Jacket?Product=15780&Color=1130) vs a hoodie or t shirt, especially if we did an embroidered patch (maybe on the shoulder, next to an NYC flag?) instead of a printed graphic. Would give it a classic but super-pro vibe.

This is the hotness.

Also @MaxThorn Definitely down to mock things up. I think if a lot of folks are interested I can whip up some options in addition to anti-anti and people can tell us what they would order, we can put in orders from there.

Or if we want to be a unified front and have a single design for apparel, I just need somebody who has final say so we don't get crazy from too many cooks in the kitchen.

My first impression of the jacket idea was that it seems cool, but also fairly similar to things Champsys already makes for us--at least more similar than hoodies and t-shirts. And possibly rather expensive? Though that's just an impression, lord knows I spend a lot already on kit. 

I prefer hoodies and tees in part because they age well, while track jackets look best fresh. I'd also be more likely to buy a t-shirt and a hoodie so I'd have a casual option to wear in almost any weather, instead of only jacket weather (which I realize is quite subjective). Though I do think the interlocking KCC logo (which you can see on the back of our jersey collar) would make an excellent patch. 

I hear you, Riley, on cooks in the kitchen. Let's mock up a few designs for the jacket, tees and a hoodie, and come back to the forum with options for members to vote on.
