Team Kit Order

That's the Lazer Vento Kineticore.  They raced it last year as well, just with more yellow.  And WVA has a special Red Bull Edition.

BTW, vis-a-vis this:

The board is actively looking at other clothing suppliers given some of the recent challenges with Champ sys which don't hold promise for improving. It is likely we will be ordering our next team order via another provider. We have narrowed our options to 2-3 main suppliers and are actively evaluating. We will make sure to update everyone as we make progress
I poked around a bit and it seems that Champ-Sys was recently sold, at least the US division.  Maybe the international as well.
Just a thought...if Kissena is going to look for a new kit sourcing company, can we consider a color redesign, along the lines of current "blue kit" for cyclocross? Perhaps orange jersey with blue wide band white thin bands, white lettering in place of white. There are alot more Kissenas racing cross than at time of last jersey redesign. #Orange is the new black?
I believe this one is more aero and presumably warmer than the G1,,,,most Lazer sponsored cyclocross pros rode with it this winter (Pauwels Sauzen),, but I expect many will use G1 in warmer weather
Is the champsys kit order closed? Late to the party but I thought an email was going to go out when the store re-opened. Link doesn't work anymore. Big Brian needs to size up his jersey
@Brian Miele  Unfortunately the clothing order window has passed per the comment here and here.  Our next order will be in 3-ish months with our new vendor.

@Jim Feehan While there might be some slight changes to our designs when we move to the new vendor, redesigning our jerseys is not the boards top priority. The amount of effort to get a partnership with a new vendor off the ground is very time-consuming and we're focused on ensuring we can make that transition a success. So for now, we'll be sticking with the same designs.

@mugwump Yes thats been their primary challenge. Champ Sys has changed hands a bunch and it sounds like there are a lot of growing pains with getting the organization on its feet. For us, the nail in the coffin was lack of communication.
BUMP, the 50% off helmet order closes Wednesday. Check it out
Last call on the helmet order. Closes tonight
Champsys arrived today for me!
Sounds like those who got orders in early have begun to receive them. The second wave should arrive in another week or so

As we continue to evaluate vendor options for our team kits, we want to gather some quick feedback from our member base. Please fill out the following survey within the next week to have your opinion heard. I want to emphasize this is not a survey to “vote” on a vendor. Rather, the aim is to gather an understanding of what is important to our member base so the board can make an informed decision. Thank you all and let us know if you have any questions!

Pardon my lack of knowledge but which Hilltop shop has the Lazer helmets for pick up?
Kent Ave. in Williamsburg.

Thanks
Any chance of having a champsys order before we switch to a new supplier? I could use another pair of bib shorts

Needing it a little bit more now :)
Ouch
A cat swiped at your glutes?

Yes we were just discussing! We are aiming to have another stop open soon. As we’ve nearly approved the new proofs, and it should only take about a week to get the store setup, we might even get a new order at Le Col up in the next 3-4 weeks. Stay tuned!
@mugwump I meant to ask you yesterday, your jersey looked like it was all mesh, do you know jersey style thats called? And do you recommend it?

You noticed.

The chest is one kind of mesh, the side panels are a lighter mesh.  The sleeves are a thin spandex, and the back is a thin jersey material that I think C-S called AirLite.  I wish they had used mesh on the shoulders at the very least.

It's discontinued.  It was the Apex summer jersey of several years ago.

it was replaced by the Apex Lite Jersey.  Which appears to be made almost entirely out of the mesh that is only the chest panels on the jersey I have.  With what is likely to be lots of 90f+ days in the near future, the newer version might be nicer, though it might also necessitate sunscreen on your back and shoulders.

New Supplier LeCol seems to have something similar:  the custom Pro Air Short Sleeve Jersey.

Will our LeCol range have a skinsuit? My Kissena one is on its last legs. I wouldn’t mind one last champsys order just to get a skinsuit.
any update on the kit order? These hot and slimey summer days are taking their toll on my jerseys
Order should open any day now
I'm out of jerseys... the one I loved finally tore up (probably speed up by the crash in 2021), and the other one doesn't fit me well at all...
*** LOOK ALIVE, PEOPLE, HOT NEW KIT COMING THROUGH***

Team, it was a long time coming, but thanks to the incredibly hard work of Patrick, Stephen, the board and members throughout the club we finally have a Kissena x Le Col kit store open!

https://lecolcustom.cc/en-us/collections/kissena
PW: Kissena_2023

Important Notes:
  • Store is open effective immediately July 14th through end of day July 27th
  • Le Col is a UK company so prices are in GBP
  • For at least this inaugural order the kit will have minimal logos which means that this will be about as "sponsor agnostic" as it gets, with only KCC and Le Col branding present.
  • According to Charlie I. sizing is "similar to ChampSys, but when in doubt... order a size up." and let the stretchy tech fabric give you a reasonable fit.
Kit piece curation was done with a baseline 3.5 season wardrobe for training and racing which should cover nearly everything but the coldest winter days. We don't have caps, gloves, etc. yet, but after this first order we'll hopefully work out the accessories.

I've created a Google Sheets with some handy shortcuts, approximate currency and size conversions and other resources that I could find. It is locked to keep the riff-raff out (not you, the other riff-raff) so please send a request to gain access.

This is a new partnership for the club so please let me know if you have any questions and we'll try our best to get them answered.

Can't wait to see all of us looking sharp!
Chapeau, lads. So much work involved in something like this. Congrats on the "new, new kit"
Awesome!

does anyone know if there’s a place in the city that sells Le Col so that I could try on their stuff before placing my order?
Speedsuit and rain jacket…yes
Lennart, try NYC Velo. I’ve heard good things and they stock them online or at least they did: https://www.nycvelo.com/brands/le-col/
