I would practice local then go up a day early and pre ride sections then.
Considering the multiple fields in some categories, we are considering adding an invitation only, 22 mile grudge match race on Sunday morning before the Pro race for the top finishers on Saturday. Winner take all.
Posted By: Jeffrey White@Jeff - I firmly believe that you need to get in a couple of really hard, 3+ hour hilly rides before Battenkill. Your legs need to be ready for 3+ hours of race pace.Strongly agree; but more than hills is just the time in the saddle. You need some 3.5 to 4 hour rides in your legs or you are going to be in for some unpleasant 'sensations' in the 2nd half of the race.
