• Both routes share the first 40 miles -- 65 km ish

My number is 2019883446. Former Kissena member Alyocha is driving me to the event.

I've only had first vaccination shot (2nd next week),so I'm going to fly solo, although I'd love to be part of mix I figure its best for everyone I keep distance and mask up when needed.

Kissenas at the New Jersey Ggravel grinder were Thierry, Eloy, Shane and myself. 

It was not a first-over-the-line race, but instead used results from timed sections throughout the 90 and 135km routes for placements. At the halfway mark I was starting to feel like I had pushed too hard earlier, so I kept my heart rate in a range I knew I could maintain, focused on finding a good tempo on the many climbs in the last half, made sure to keep drinking and eating, and did not bonk. 

This was a monster of a gravel ride, and we had a blast.

Good times at the New Jersey Gravel Grinder.

• Opted for the 90km route, Shane did too.
• Thierry and James did the full mega, 135km 7hours+
• Thierry, James, and I rode the first 68ish km together.
• They smoked me in the first timed segment
• Took revenge on the other two segments, was fun 
• Route is pretty sweet, not even remotely as challenging as Farmer's Daughter or JAM's Gran Fundo
• Worth note, the Thierry is fit af. Was a pleasure to watch.
• Was very hesitant of my fitness, but ended the ride feeling pretty good and strong. Now time to look for longer, faster, harder, daft punk style.

Great times yesterday, except for some severe cramping around the 65-mile mark. It was truly delightful to cruise around with some great teammates and I hope that we could bring a larger Kissena contingent next year for this worthwhile event.

Totally didn't realize that the start point for this was literally 5 minutes from my in-laws house, so absolutely stealing the routes and going adventuring next time in NJ

It's amazing how VeloNews worked overtime to find stories about Unbound Gravel.  It's like they were a sponsor of the race.

Wondering if this result ushers in a new phase of the gravel scene.  And if team racing will start to appear.

Also, not saying that racing 200 miles is easy and not trying to belittle Boswell’s win,he is obviously a super talented rider ,but his pro career he sort of became pack fill, couldn’t help reflecting just how fucking hard it is to win a world tour race

OMG what and absolute mess of a production,
so much press about this race , so many missed opportunities to show how cool it is  
take a week and put something together with an actual editor

The 125 miles is, well, I am not interested, but the 85 miler could be fun.

I'm sorry/not sorry to say I bailed on my season goal the Lutsen 99er a 100 mile gravel race. (Kid event bumped it from the calendar)

Interestingly though Steven Hyde travelled up north to win it.

Not sure who the hell the 18 year old Ryan Sellner is but I'm guessing we'll be hearing soon after he finished just 30 seconds behind.

The 2021 Race Around Winona - NYSBRA Gravel Championship took place June 26th, 2021 in the Tug Hill area of Lewis County. 105 participants had a pleasantly epic day of gravel racing to compete for the title of NYSBRA State Champion! Pictures of the overall podiums are posted on Facebook.

I know some of us will be doing Farmers Daughter this weekend. I deferred my registration to next year. Instead, I will be out east this weekend and will do a gravel ride at Hither Hills leaving from Amagansett and going to the lighthouse. I will use many parts of the route Mark posted a while ago. Anybody interested?

Super day Sunday at Farmer's Daughter Gravel Grinder. @eloy and I drove up in the early AM, and rode the entire thing together. Weather remained in the mid-seventies for a perfect day out. At one point a black bear bounded across our path for good luck.. Despite Eloy's tips and advice on the steepest bits I still had to get off the bike at one point; he rode everything like a boss. Here are some pics.

Farmer's Daugther delivered as always. This route gets harder and harder and steeper & steeper.

There were plenty of highlights, including hangs with the NYC cohort, seeing an original Trimble frame, riding the full route with James, and full on running into a BLACK BEAR as it crossed the road in front of us. 

350 TSS what what.

@James Reeder, @JonathanAdler and I rode the Deerfield Dirt Road Randonee (D2R2) this weekend up in Massachusetts. What a day! 180km, nearly 14,000ft of climbing, and a decent mix of dirt and pavement. We stuck together for much of the ride, splitting up a bit on the climbs and regrouping at the tops. We had a few small gear issues that were resolved quickly and James even converted a guys $10,000 bike into a single speed push bike after he wrecked his ceramic speed derailleur.
