@William-
Aw shucks...(single tear).
Okay, weather looks okay. I'm in...Mike I'll see you at 8 at BB
Dont wait for me. I heard thunder and pulled the covers over my head. Now I regret it. Probably gonna drive out and see if I can meet up with you guys on the road.
At the gwb!
I'm a total Loser. I'll be out in Prospect from 10-12:30.
William, Stokes, Ryan J and I had a nice ride today aside from a minor mechanical - my crank falling off. Went to piermont and Mattie fixed it up for me. Weather held decently for some good miles.
yes

good times today

cross bike with full fenders FTW!
Your crank fell off? Oh, on your bike.... Zoweeeee!!!!! Thank you, thank you, you're too kind.
I'm looking for a good, hard training ride tomorrow. Preferably some tempo and some climbing. Anyone in the same boat?
8 a.m. Brooklyn Bridge for anyone who wants to join. If I wake up tomorrow and there's interest here for it, 9 a.m. on the Nj side of the GWB, too. Gnight!
I will be in pp for 2 hours with some openers. Id say 9 ish
I may be looking for a ride Sunday. I'm still toying with the idea of Tour de Parq but I had a crazy work week with very little riding so a nice long, medium intensity ride feels right. If anyone else wants to do something Sunday holler
Josh and I were at the GWB this morning at 9:02. Sorry that we missed Jeffrey.

Assuming the rain stays away (at least when it is time to leave the house) I'm interested in a ride tomorrow.
I'll be at the GWB at 9:00 am
David, I'll be there to meet you. I believe Jeff Owens will be there too.
I'll try to be there.
Stephané and I had a nice cruise up to Piermont and back today... I waited at BB from 7:55 to 8:05 but didn't see any one... then Stephané joined me at GWB J-side at 9am, we waited 15 mins... no takers. Maybe the misty rain gave some guys cold cleats, or maybe folks decided to race the Tour de Parc.

Stephané was riding in recovery mode, or said he was, after a day of frenetic attacking in his Saturday Pennsylvania Masters Championship race. But it turned out to be a nice mix of easy-moderate-hard riding.

Sorry if we missed other Kissena gruppi.
Konrad, Daniel & myself are meeting at the gwb jersey side at 11 am tomorrow. I'm kind of anal about the route since I'm using some of the climbs as preparation for CSR. It's going to be about 60 miles and start off with back roads to congers/ haverstraw. Join us if you can!

Sorry for not keeping it 9am, it's just too damn early for us.
Sweet ride today. Daniel, Konrad, Andy, Josh, Jeff and myself met at the gwb. Jeff turned back at Piermont while the rest of us went up to Haverstraw and got in about 70 miles with 4500' of climbing. Andy won the state-line sprint. We had some pickles over by the Little Tor deli, and after that practiced our 'cross skills with some barrier-jumps. All in all a great day.
Will anyone be out tomorrow? I will be at the bridge at 9am, looking to put in about 70-80 miles.

Joe, I presume you mean GWB. I'll be there at 9.

What's going on this weekend? I guess some of you guys are at the stage races but I'm just around. Maybe I'll do the TT at FBF on sat but if anyone's up for a group ride, I'll be more than happy to suck your wheel.

For this Sunday, 6/5/11, I am planning on getting to the GWB Jersey Side at 9am. And then I'd like to go west and north and then east and south. Thinking out to Oakland, then Mahwah, around and back. If we start at 9am, I think we'll be back at the bridge by 12:45 or so.

It's something different. We'll hit some hills, though not sure how many. Ride a double paceline most of the time, probably keeping a decent tempo on the flats.
I'm probably down. Acupuncture seems to have worked wonders, as I felt less sick and fairly strong tonight. See you guys then.
I think David Sanossian was trying to get a LI/Brickwell ride going for this Sunday.

David - is it on ? What are the details ?
Here's a Saturday option for y'all who aren't heading out to smash watermelons. I'm planning a decently long ride (~4 hours) with some high-intensity work in the middle. After that work is done, I'm flexible. Brooklyn Bridge @ 9, Jersey GWB @ 10.

The workout:

Ride to wide-shoulder part of 9W (~1.5 hr)

Do the following twice:
3:00 max
3:00 easy
2:00 max
2:00 easy
1:00 max
5:00 easy
5:00 tempo
5:00 easy

Ride home (~1.5 hr)
do at least 20 min of tempo
or better, ride the whole thing at tempo and then do hard 3,2,1 min efforts, coming back to tempo - over unders if you like
I think I can work in tempo and intervals for everyone into a long group ride on Sunday as well.
@Eric: I'm trying to maximize my power output for those intervals -- get the hr all the way up to 195 bpm, if possible. Pure high-end. I absolutely agree that after all that, 20:00-30:00 more tempo would be desirable. And very painful.
Since I rarely train with you guys and I'm ignorant, I would like to know : what is this "tempo" you're refering to? Is it the same power whether you're doing 20' or 40'? Is it your one hour FTP? 85% of this one hour FTP?
