Yes Lenny. All clear now. I get Idiot of the Month award. Perhaps it's senility. Apologies for the confusion. What I was obviously feeling was the pull of your presence on the Triangle Ride that day. Hope all is well.
Best,
N.
Since there a quite a few folks racing this weekend both days, I think the Kissena group ride is going to be pretty thin. Does anybody who's not racing Sunday want to volunteer to lead it this week?

Patrick?
Lenny?
Eric?
Anybody?
Sorry, if you meant this Eric, the doc says no bike for 2 more weeks. Technically speaking I believe the correct terminology for my lameness is Tenosynovitis which is swelling of the sheath surrounding the tendon. Good times. On top of that, this weather would typically make me jump for joy now brings tears to my eyes.

Great racing across the board, keep it up! Can't wait to join you!
I will not be riding long on Sunday
Eric
I'm planning on being at GWB at 9:00 tomorrow. Any takers?
I will be in prospect park between 9 and 930 on Sunday
Eric

I'll be out in the park at that time
Okay, so just one of your friendly mentors checking in on the Sunday Kissena group ride, since racing season has begun. I believe we've had a leader each of the Sunday's of the past 3 weeks, but I want to make sure that non-spring-racers are feeling like they are still getting in their weekly Kissena group ride action if they want it. So, how's it going?
I will be in PP after the race Saturday for some laps. Probably around 10. And sunday I want to ride up 9w for about 40 miles. Let me know if you are interested in riding this weekend.
I'll be out on the Jersey side of the GWB tomorrow morning for the start of the traditional Kissena Sunday ride. I'll say meet at 9am, but will likely wait around 10 minutes in case racers from PP want to try and meet up with us. The usual turn around points, and possibly an extended remix version of the ride that will go up to the orchards.
I'll be out this Sunday with a bunch of guys from Staten Island if anyone wants to join us. Pace might not be as high as I'd like but definitely want to hit the major hills in Nyack/ Rockland.

GWB Jersey Side at around 9 AM
anyone else coming out for the traditional Sunday Kissena ride? I'd like to get in some miles.
Sunday looks nice. I'm planning to be there. Anyone riding up from Brooklyn?
Intending to ride from Forest Hills if anyone wants company till GWB. Yon? How is your back?
I would say the usual time and place. Sunday, 9am, Jersey side of the GWB.
Rahway Crit anyone?
I'lll be at GWB on the Jersey side at 9 see everyone then.
Big thanks to everyone on the Kissena group ride today, after I broke a spoke on the Rockland Lake climb, Patrick introduced me to Mattie D. and the guys at the Piermont bike shop, who fixed my wheel on the spot! (awesome) Plus, Patrick spotted me cash, and David, John, Joseph all waited with no complaints. Very, super cool.
Great weather and great ride today. To bad with the spoke Marc but it was only a minor detail.
Excellent ride. Thanks all for waiting after the hills, the PB&J and the odd encouraging push. Joe, you're a mountain goat!
GWB at 9 tomorrow? Looks *less* rainy...
GWB tomorrow anyone? Wednesday schlub ride up Alpine and Bradley? Maybe a bit further? Looks cloudy and 72, so not bad. Like to go around 70-80 from Brooklyn. Job? Wife? Kids?...where are your priorities? Competitive cycling is about delusion and lack of perspective. Join me.
For those with commitments...
2-3 hours. Steady with some changes in tempo.
If you miss me, ride backwards to find me.
I'll likely be there.
Is there a Sunday club ride at the GWB @ 9am tomorrow?
Gideon, if you say there is one.... there is one! Just remove "Is there a" and the question mark. Magic!
Sunday ride @ GWB @ 9am!
Gideon and I did the Sunday ride as a team after basking in the sun at GW from 9 to 9:10. On the way back from Nyack we initiated a break, in spite of the headwind nobody caught us. I'm still wondering where the other teammates were. Mother's day is next Sunday except for JP of course.
I rode up to State Line today starting around 1pm.

I saw:

Nosson Spielberg!

Norman

unidentified Kissena behind Norman

ex-Kissena Edie Perkins

Such lovely weather!

On my way back, i was feeling nicely warmed up, so i thought i'd have a test up alpine climb. I was hoping to for something around 5:30 from the boat basin to the middle of the wooden fence. i ended up doing a new PR of 5:13. Quite pleased with that, considering i had two bottles and a saddle bag on.

Problem: my ride left me feeling so good, i couldn't give two shits about anything else the rest of the day!
Anyone not racing this Saturday up for a long ride to Bear Mountain/Harriman State Park? If riding back is too long, we could ride across the Hudson (using Bear Mountain bridge) and take the train back to Grand Central from Peekskill or Cold Spring.
