Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

I have a GPS jammer I take on all my wormhole rides.  If you can't commit the ride to memory, you haven't ridden it enough.

Kidding. You'll find some if you poke around the Kissena group on Strava.
Gracias!
JP even gets lost on JP vortex black hole rides, just to let you know. Which is half the fun!

I think it's worth noting, generally, when you go on an "inland" Jersey ride, which direction you are heading. Generally it's going to be Northwest...and if you do get lost (as I have many times), you just start pedaling southeast until you hit some towns that seem familiar. Jersey has great signage. (Don't bother asking anyone which way is 9W or the GWB though, because they will look at you with such confusion, unable to comprehend how anyone could be so far from home...on a bike!
No 'cross for me, so I'll be riding north this weekend. Weather looks better on Saturday and I plan on 9am at GWB.

I'll be heading out Sunday 9AM GWB on one of those no stopping types of rides. ~60-70 miles from Brooklyn
Family obligations are forcing me out insanely early tomorrow, departing BK around 6am-ish. Personal challenge to make it from Brooklyn to Piermont and back w/o stopping. Hope to see some of you all on 9W!
I'll be at the BB on Saturday at 8am.
mr. perlberg, i will join you

I'm in for tomorrow at GWB and may bring along friend if that's OK. I figure this time of year the more the merrier.
I'm in for 8am BB tomorrow

8 BB tomorrow.
Gunning for 8 BB tomorrow.

My flight back home keeps getting delayed, so depending on how late I get in I might not be able to make it.

FYI from the National Weather Service for Rockland; doubt it will present any problems for the morning ride but good to be aware of possible slick roads anyway.

...A WINTRY MIX LATE TONIGHT...

RAIN THIS EVENING WILL MIX WITH SLEET BEFORE MIDNIGHT. SNOW MAY
MIX IN AFTER MIDNIGHT. UP TO AN INCH OF SLUSH IS
POSSIBLE...PRIMARILY ON SECONDARY ROADS.

AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...UP TO 2 INCHES OF SLEET AND SNOW IS
POSSIBLE.

ALL PRECIPITATION WILL END BY SUNRISE. SUNSHINE WITH TEMPERATURES
IN THE UPPER 30S ARE FORECAST FOR SATURDAY.

I'm aiming for 8am BB.
Don't wait for me
twss???
i will be leading a one man group ride leaving GWB jersey side approximately 30 minutes from now.  destination is the trader joe's on the jersey side of the bridge.  clif bars for $.99!  follow the blinding neon light and you will find me.  it should be about 9 miles round trip.  gels optional, panniers mandatory.
I'm going to be out in PP at 2:30 today for a few hrs. Holla if anyone wants to join.
Ros Knopov - I was about to post that I should be in the park around then. 2:35 at GAP ?
@JoshuaC, sounds good!
Sorry to bail on the crowd this am; left a little later and ran into @Erica & @Philip going the other way, and Angry Santa (aka Dennis) on river road.  He's still going strong as nails, that one.

Huge apologies for holding the group up this morning with the flat. I intended to go to Strictly to top it off when we got to NJ, but after pumping it some more felt pretty good about it and set off just a minute or two behind the group. Big mistake. I flatted again about halfway up River Road. Luckily I had a couple patches left and was able to seal it up good enough to turn around and get home. Something like my eleventh or twelfth ride up there and my first time with a flat. Still managed 50 miles but I feel underwhelmed.

Maybe time for new tires.

Hope the remainder of the ride was awesome.
A bit mucky with the residual puddles and mud, but mostly turned out to be a beautiful day for a ride.  Standard route up River Road to Piermont.  I had a doughnut with bacon on top and an esssssspressssso.  Life is pretty good.

@Patrick, sorry about the flatting.  We'll see you next time.

Thinking of heading up again tomorrow and open to an earlier start as well.
Nice seeing a sprinkle of orange and blue on my way back from Nyack this morning, and lovely to catch up w/ @Philip on his return from RR! Today's lessons learned: 1) ~70mi is a lot harder when you only stop for 5 minutes to shove half a dozen cookies in your kit and chug a macchiato. 2) You can't shove snowflake shaped cookies in your kit and expect snowflake shaped cookies 35 miles later. 3) There's a TON of hazardous crap on RR. Be careful.
Warning No formatter is installed for the format not-found

so since my winter training doesn't officially begin until Monday, I"m not going to be out riding in 30 degree weather tomorrow morning.
i am also withdrawing from the ride tomorrow.  stay warm, brave riders!

i'll likely do a short alpine climb and back later in the day if someone wants to join.
I'll be out on the Sunday ride.  9am GWB.

The ride will be interesting.  If there's the interest, I can keep it about 100% wormhole.
