I wasn't able to ride earlier but would like to head out from Brooklyn and go over the GWB in the early afternoon. The loose plan is to do the climb on Hudson Dr (River Rd) a few times but open for whatever. Text me if you're interested: +1-347-746-9664

For those of you who aren't racing Pawling tomorrow, I'm going to be at BB at 8 a.m., NJ GWB 9 a.m. for a big, Keith-style ride (hopefully nobody flashes their piece out, though). Hills, tempo, sprints for town-line signs, random displays of power, general suffering. 80 miles or so from Brooklyn. Anyone interested?

we're going up to the orchards if possible, hills behind nyack/piermont for sure

tempo/hard on the flats, HARD on the climbs

Tito was the big winner of the day: he took the Alpine Climb p/b Pepsi and then attacked HARD to win the first-ever Possum Jawbone Assault on Rockland Lake Mountain.

Keith won the Muffin Challenge to the Watertower north of Nyack and Norm won the Icey Java Jump up Bradley.

Tito and Norm duked it out over Stateline on the way home and stayed away until the bridge. the rest of us cruised home, except for a HIGHLY CONTROVERSIAL sprint up that little rise before strictly. Where is the finish line? WE MAY NEVER KNOW!

Thanks everyone for coming out --it was great fun and properly hurtful (I lost 5 lbs. of water weight! and I was not skimping on the water/gatorade/soda/iced-coffee).

sidebar: I think the hill KOMs would have been contested by greater numbers had some of you not drank that brown bathroom water at the Sheriff's lodge.

That was awse - big high 5's to William for getting it together, and Keith for guiding us.

I always sprint up that rise before SB - the finish line for me is When I Get Tired. Btw, Norm smoked me on that sprint today, even though I tried to catch him unawares. Me = suckiest sprinter ever.

Trying to get work done right now that involves my brain is a total joke.

BTW, I really do have a little jawbone of some unnamed roadkill now in my possession.

Great ride gents, I managed to not think about work for like 80% of the time, which is more than I can say for when I try and go to sleep at night. Mostly familiar roads, but DJ-Killer-Keith, remixed those tracks to provide a whole new experience. Including throwing in a "new" steep, switchbacking climb that will become a regular of my "to Piermont-ish" rides.

Everyone, including WDC's guest riders were killing it good. My legs are toast, but will be ready for tomorrow.

Because I am now officially gunning for Kissena group ride green jersey champion of the world, I would like to find a new SAFE flat classic high speed sprint to contest on our familiar roads. State-line sprint on 9W is usually safe enough, and so is the rise on the way home with the controversial finish line. But the "low-road" state line sprint should be strictly off limits for narrow road, bad pavement and heavy traffic. But we do need another nice flat sprint.

Anybody interested in an early (beat the heat) depart Sunday?

First time up Alpine 6:04 (respect to William!). RT33-9W, awesome new bmx trail detour back from Nyack (thanks to White).
Hobo two-gels Josh, the guy who sleeps on park benches after extra early training sesh's, was looking a bit wobbly at Strictly.
Recommend post-ride beer, spare ribs and corncob loading.
