Recovery laps in CP today after yesterday morning's merciless / penniless dash for cash.

Who still has gas in the tank for tomorrow's ride?

Well, the teams hammer-heads, Ragot, Joaquin and Ryan hit the roads at least an hour early before most of us. Which means they'll have 1 extra hour of rest on us. Plus, the waitress at Noche Mexicana, convinced us that an entire pitcher of Margaritas was the most economical way to go...so tomorrows ride may be detox for me! Although, I'm still thinking if Orchards is the plan of action, then this time we GOTTA go LITTLE TOR. Turn right for extra special fun times!
Trying to get back to Brooklyn before 1pm again tomorrow. Good for whatever route, can turn back solo to make it back in time.
Lets all take a moment to appreciate vlad's tire clearence
So what's the start time for tomorrow? I'll head towards Bear Mountain but not sure I can go the whole way.

9am is the usual start time. Are folks still considering a Bear Mountain ride? Then, they may be leaving earlier...because you know 114 or so miles...you know, takes time.
8am BB, 9am GWB is like the GMT for Kissena group ride. Set your clocks.
I'll be there
Thanks guys.  I know the "general" start time, but if you review the forum there were actually three start times today, so just checking which one we were actually doing.  See you tomorrow.
See you guys at GWB
Nice ride with a big group today. Erika and I split off after water tower to get home early. Booked it back down 9W against a stiff headwind. Forgot about the extra climbing involved through Upper Nyack. Stop light intervals through Manhattan and Brooklyn with a nice deli stop for cold drinks.

FYI Erika was riding on a broken saddle, messed up cleats, a now infamously broken shoe held together by orange duct tape, and a cross bike that weighs 30lbs, and still slayed the ride back to Brooklyn. She's my freaking hero.

Duders. I'm dead. Big group today up to the Orchards, via Little Tor which shredded everyone. Started 9:10-ish and got back to the GWB, with TWO (it was hotter today than yesterday) 15-minute-ish stops for beverage refills, at 2pm. Everyone riding superstrong. I'll forget too many names if I try to call them out. Dale "the silent southern assassin" rode like a boss and crushed the 2nd half of the ride; keeping up with the flyweight climbers. There was way too much hooliganism on the flats and rollers, and I kind of fell apart and succumbed to cramps and just dead legs. Thanks for the guys for waiting up for me a bunch.
102 miles on the day. A ton of fun to be had by all. The day felt hard but I guess that's what a ride where everyone is attacking will do. Keep things spicy.

Marc, thanks so much for taking us around!! Way more interesting than hitting the usual stuff.
Marc, thanks a ton for navigating, that was a great ride. Totally shredded after Little Tor, last time I'll try and follow Jeff A's wheel up a 10% grade for 5 minutes :)
My pleasure, everyone. Happy to shout out turns from the cheap seats. It's a lot easier for me to do some of these rides on my own, because I live so close to the GWB, so I'm always thrilled when the Brooklyn contingent has the time to ride long on these less familiar routes. Thanks for everyone who joined me for Saturday and/or Sunday's riding!
We had a green jersey comp. Dale is winning by one point, then me, then I guess Konrad.
Thanks a ton, Marc. Good times on roads that I haven't seen before. Legs are properly shredded today.
Fun ride yesterday with a big group. It's almost warm around here! Thanks for showing us some new roads to the Orchards, Marc. First time to ride Little Tor and lots of play racing spurred on mostly by Andy and Jeff.  I believe the last hill before strictly is an automatic green jersey earner for Andy.  Breaking my rear derailleur cable just before coming back over the GW made for a fun last hour of the ride in a 39x11.
Marc, thanks a whole bunch for this great ride. Past the 100 mile mark, Andy and I were facing strong headwinds on the West Side Highway, totally delirious from the fatigue while trying to avoid dodgy Citibikers. Fun times...
Cross- posting this:

Hi Gals! I'm back riding some now : ) I just won't do pacelining yet or large group rides until the bone heals more. maybe closer to fall time.

I'm really excited about this and thought I wold share:
I just started to watch this ( I stlll have a half an hour more to watch)  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxNznrlRXGU before my trainer workout today. When he started talking about seat height and angle. I thought, yeah, my hamstrings are tight! so took his advice and lowered my seat a bit. What he says made sense to me for many reasons.

I can definitely feel that i can angle my body/ hip angle more acutely and felt my quads working more, rather than the burn i usually feel in my knee when I push harder. Is the quads where I should always be feeling the burn? does that indicate I'm using my power better (without using a power meter to judge)

I'm going to try it on my road bike too out on the road. I'd love any feedback or comments if you have them.

Also here is a pic of me before my second nyack ride in my kit and new tires : ) Its been fun seeing you all on the road coming back from epic rides as I'm just starting out.

Edit
9:00 am gwb. Hills
Yup. It won't be insane but it will be hard. Same conditions (and likely the same route) as Ryan and Joaquin's ride last weekend.

Anybody fancy an early #familyrider depart?  6am BB?
I'm in for standard Sunday ride times, 8am BB/9am GWB.
