@Jules‌ I'll join you for the ride over the bridge. Then I'm off to the Orchards and meeting my family at a friends in NJ. See you at the BB.
@marc
I don't think I'll be able to make it this time. Thank you.

New members ride 8am Brooklyn Bridge/9am GWB.

I can't make it so will try to be out at Prospect 6a, Grand Army.
I;m leaving Brooklyn 10:30 by car. Parking on Jersey side of GWB and riding north (moderate pace). Driving back to Brooklyn to be back by 2:30.  Call or text if you want a lift out and /or back and/or to ride.  917-579-6580
I did the Sunday Triangle ride with Adam today...What I can report is that 9W rides are to Kenny G...what Sunday Triangle rides are to Slipknot....that is all...Seacrest out !
How many outdated references can Yacks make in one semi-sentence post?

1. Kenny G
2. Slipknot
3. [Ryan] Seacrest

The brain trust over at Pepsi ran a promotion in the early '90s where they would give out free admission to local amusement parks in some Crystal Pepsi bottles. My friends and I went all over town looking carefully through the bottoms of the bottles and eventually got enough winning bottle caps to get the whole crew into Great America.
Ever since my faceboo

That's great, Gwynna.  If L&C race is confirmed cancelled, I want to organize a no drop, moderate pace ride at the usual time BB 8am, GWB 9am.  I think it would be cool to have an inclusive ride for newer members or people who don't race much to get in on some club paceline action.
I'm out of town, but if anyone is planning on doing the regular 8 AM BB/9 AM GWB ride, the aforementioned potential new member, Maura, will be joining at GWB. If someone wants to volunteer to be her contact for the morning, please let me know and I'll pass your name along. Thank yuuu!
Sorry Kayt, L&C is back on on Sunday so I'd like to save the legs tomorrow.  There is a new member ride the next Saturday 8/2 on the calendar though.
^ Truth. Thank you David! Good luck at the races mañana!
I'm aiming to head out early.  6am Brooklyn Bridge.  Ranger station or Mattie's & back.  Holla.
Ran into Maura this morning as I was crossing the GWB, she was looking for the ride, told her that there was none today, but welcomed her to tag along with me.

We rode a bit in NJ. Seems cool and strong enough, so basically told her not to think too much about it and join Kissena --- probably also told her to get a cross bike, because obvs.

Best laid plans, yadda yadda.  3-4p in the park and I felt like a bag of overheated new york trash... ugh.

Met up with John Malcolmson at the traditional time for the KCC Sunday Group Ride. No other takers, so we rolled down River Road up to Peirmont where I ate a ridiculously expensive donut, chatted with Mattie, got some advice that started with, "Yeah, BB30, they're 'famous' for that..." downed some free Shaklee samples (Shaklee for you young-uns used to be the longest running sponsor of a pro team back in the not-so-way-back. In addition to cleaning products, they've been making monkey ball sweat pre and post load beverages for years and years; now I think Jelly Belly holds the title), and rolled back on 9W and had some fun along the way.

Saw a few Kissenas here and there on the road. Early bird Partland, Handsome Joe, a dude named Noah...

When racing is thin, lets try and get a bigger group ride going on Sundays for some fun and fitness.

PS: Captain Obvious says, "It's crazy how strong Malcolmson is."
There were three Kissenas on the Triangle Ride, you were at the wrong place Marc.

Posting about the ride before it happens might help.

True. Although, I always felt the Sunday 9am Jersey side of the GWB was the standing group ride place/time. That said, I'll try harder the next time to rally the gang.
Pre-dawn start for me this morning. Early bird gets the empty roads (and then gets to haul junk and build cribs for the better part of Sunday). When I finished a wet but mercifully uncrowned River Road, I just wasn't feeling a coffee stop in Piermont, so I turned south on 9W at the Ranger Station, pretended to paceline, and then did River Road again. Saw a couple Kissenas on each of my S bound 9W trips. Marc, Malcolmson, Eloy... One day I'll be able to stay out and play past my 10am curfew.
I didn't expect anyone to be there with the thunderstorm forecast.
River road, Stumptown at Piermont is like playing an old State Street Ramblers 78.

An in-form Bertucco busted out a killer sprint on the roller before Strictly, all I could see was a blur of bulging calves disappearing into the distance. Nice to see a few other Kissena's rolling around.
Chai angle for me today. 2:00@450w came fairly close to a PR and I'm not even fast right now. It's a good ride. Looking into getting involved in the Speed Team.

My policy is that if I can't make the time, I'm not going to post my ride as I don't want to dilute the 8/9am standing affair.

As promised...SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY! I'll be coming off of what hopefully is some good race results down in PA, but looking forward to a nice group training ride on the 3rd. The bigger the group, the more "traditional" we'll go in terms of route.

I have to be back in Washington Heights in the 12:30-1pm range, so we're talking a ride of under 4 hours. Probably a spirited Rockland Lake loop would be in order all things considered. Please come out and join if you can!

Where: GWB Jersey side
When: 9am-12:30-ish
Why: Because you're not racing and want some group ride entertainment

Marc, if there are folks that want to take it a little slower I am happy to split off into a no drop route focusing on steady pacelines.
