@niallsmart‌, up to Piermont or Nyack. Not too fast, but maybe a kicker or two.
Switching to 7am GAP, it's the weekend, might as well sleep in...
@joaquin cool, see you guys at GWB

See you guys at 9 GWB
good ride today.
a few more
That is some Rapha caliber, epic b&w photos, Eloy!
I'm planning on the usual ride, 8am Brooklyn Bridge, 9am GWB NJ side. Possible Fort Lee crit course reconnaissance, but happy to do that on my own time.
I'm going to do some late morning PP laps tomorrow...
I am also planning to be out tomorrow. 8am BB. Advance warning that after 5 weeks of almost continuous business travel I am fat and slow.

the technical term is "well rested"
Nice chill ride with Ingrid who gave me some free bacteria 101 course lectures along the way to Piermont. She had to head to her parents' home in NJ on the way back to GWB so I made a detour to the Fort Lee crit course. Glad I did, it took a few laps to measure out sprint spots after turns 3 and 4.

Massive head/side wind heading down the Hudson Green way.

BTW there were a few conspicuous NYPD cruisers waiting uptown on the way up to the GWB. Not sure if the crackdown is still going on but better safe and wait at the red than sorry with a disproportionately massive ticket.
Almost forgot, at the start of the ride right off the Brooklyn Bridge I noticed a roadie on a customized Brompton folder with a giant elliptical chainring. Owning one myself, I struck up a conversation and found out that he is a Brompton operations manager looking to expand their sales network and set up a satellite office. He was on his way to (what else) a Rapha ride.

/cool story bro

Anyone interested in doing the NYC century this Sunday (9/7)? I'd love to do it hard and finish under 5:30, though I'm not sure if that will be possible since the roads will be open and traffic will probably slow up for the second half.

A paceline would make things more fun and faster.

Or if anyone actually wants to do the Escape from NY Century 9/20 I have an
entry you can use; my wrist won't be healed by then.

Hi Meredith.

how are you feeling?
Better and better. With the titanium plate I don't have a cast or anything
but it's sore. I miss biking! Three more weeks to go.

Hey all, prospective member Jake Jolly (currently Cat. 2 with Green Line Velo) recently moved to Forest Hills from Boston and is looking around at teams and generally wants to get in some group rides with folks who know the roads around here.

He's looking for a Sunday morning ride. Can we get a few folks committed to doing a group ride Sunday that I could get him to tag along on?

Thanks!
Fresh meat for the Triangle GRINDER !!!  Let that beast loose on the Triangle....very close to Forest Hills
I live in forest hills. but this sunday might be tight. pretty familiar with the roads around. maybe next week

Is there a group ride going out tomorrow from BK? @Meredith, sorry you're injured! First I'm hearing about it.
Hey Jess - yeah it is no fun but it could have been worse. Looking forward
to riding with you when I'm all healed up and hearing about your summer
adventures!
