3. mountainview ave/the watertower
4. south mountain rd (the orchards)

the way back:
1. south central highway/co rd 33
2. rockland mountain (or skip it and ride along the bikepath on the other side of rockland lake)
3. lowland drive or old mountain rd (off of 9w)
4. stateline or ludlow lane (through lamont observatory)

ryan has the thimble, so he gets to call which climb determines if he keeps it or cedes it

the other climbs . . . i will dispense coffee/muffin/soda prizes

The thimble is passed on every KOM climb. Meaning, if William beats Joe up Alpine, he takes it. But if Joe beats William up Bradley, he takes it back.

Its not the cable though, it's the clamp bolt, and I think its the inside rather than the bolt itself

it simply wont catch. I tried to steal the bolt from my wife's 105 but it's not the same size.

i did this exact ride last winter with a broken rear derailler - 53/16 and 39/16 - that's 89 and 65 gear inches, respectively

a 39 with a 12-25 would give you an 87-42 gear inch range
