Is anybody riding Sunday? I got an inquiry from a Kissena-hopeful who would like to tag along on a group ride.

I'm in the market for a Sunday ride as well.

There's a great ride up here on Sunday. It finishes on top of Vemont's highest paved road and is part of the Green Mountain Stage Race! Maybe we'll see you all next year? For now, Harry, Stephane and I will do our best to represent.

Great ride today with JP, Norm, Keith, Joe, Whitey, David, and Jim. About 80 miles for the Brooklyn crew. In retrospect, Norm's three flats were a blessing in disguise as without the rest trying (unsuccessfully, as usual) to beat Joe up the hills might have killed me. Thanks to JP for leading.

Sorry for the 2 mechanic-error flats guys. Thanks all for waiting and thanks for the assistance Joe, JP and Keith to boot (literally).

I'm going to ride the cross bike in the park tomorrow morning from about 7:30 - 9:00. If anyone wants to join, I'll swing by GAP at 7:30. I have one PVC barrier which I'll bring out.

There's an upstate ride on Sunday in honor of Nancy Morgenstern, a local racer who was in the towers on 9-11. Fall Harriman is in her honor. I'll try to be there. I received this email from Tara Parsons, who is helping organize it:

If you are planning on coming to the memorial ride this Sunday 9/11 (I know some of you have other plans that day- good luck to those racing!), the start place has been changed to GRANT'S TOMB on riverside drive and 125th street. Registration (free) is still 7:30, start is 8AM, so we should be at the GWB somewhere between 8:20-8:40, as Nancy's Dad will be saying a few things at the start.

A USA Cycling license is required to participate and all riders must provide a
signed release. This ride is open to non-CRCA members. There is no fee for USA Cycling
members but non-USA Cycling members may purchase a one day license for $10 to participate.

Ryan, I might join ya - and if we have a third, I'll bring the jawbone; I got so much grief from William today about not bringing it ("How come you didn't bring the jawbone, wuss? You scared of defending it? Huh? Huh?") that now I feel honor-bound.

I do have a thimble, however, which really belongs to Joe right now.

Illustrations of the jawbone and thimble must go on our jersey collars next year. Good Friday ride to Clausland Mtn with Tito and William DC. Freshly coat of "seal-coat" or "chip seal" made for some gravely climbing and descending on Tweed and all other roads leading to the top. Good for forcing a little seated climbing practice.
