9am, GWB Nyack attack.

I didn't see any Kissena hombres out today, I did see a huge-ass hawk up close. I also got schooled by Breach and Paul from Axis on the way back from Nyack (two against one, no fair)... guys have got some speed. Went to Ride Brooklyn on way back (+Bark vege-dog), apparently they've spruced up the Computrainer den with a waterfall backdrop and Pink Flamingo's!

Physical flamingos or part of the backdrop?

Fully functional waterfall, but alas, only animatronic Flamingos.

A beautiful day but a rough ride this morning.

Joe, Jeff, Ali, Ian, and I were in a big group of racers and non racers from various clubs, and there was a crash just past Alpine before the stateline sprint. Ian went down hard right in front of me, along with a guy I don't know. I narrowly escaped, but poor Ian and broke his collarbone.

He was in good spirits and kept his sense of humor, all things considered but it was a real bummer seeing him loaded into the ambulance.

Ian, let us know how you're doing when you get a chance.

This was good reminder of why I usually ride with my teammates and a select few pals from other teams, and avoid mixing it up with the general 9W crowd.
