Is there a rain policy for new member rides? I'm fine riding in rain but is there a threshold for ride cancellation should it rain on Saturday
I trust your judgement.
i'm actually around on a saturday for the first time in months. i'll be there.
Saturday 8am BB/9am GW — new members ride.
8 guys have signed up at this time.
Dang – going to have to miss this one y'all. Just found the start of a small hole in my rear tire and don't have a spare on hand.
Scratch that - going to try and make it to strictly right after they open and make the 9am GW meet.
Double scratch that. Def not gonna make it in time. Don't wait
Sorry I couldn't make it today.  However Tomorrow.

I'll be there at the GWB.  9am.  Rain or shine.
I had to be back in Brooklyn by 10:00 so I rode early. Saw a nice big group at the GWB on my way back and more headed over the bridge as I crossed. Hope you all had a great ride. It was starting to get pretty steamy even by mid-morning.
We had 6 new people show up today - good ride. Got split up a few times but always seemed to come back together.

JP - I'll join you tomorrow. I'll be at BB@ 8. One of the new guys from the ride today might tag along tomorrow as well
Tomorrow is Sunday - and in my universe that can only mean one thing…

IT'S TACO TIME

Leaving from GAP at 9, for Tacoway beach. A couple non-Kissena buddies are joining, FYI.
Brian, Planning to be at BB at 8.
Oh btw I'll be in non-kissena kit – will be wearing some combo of black & fluro & @Redbeard cap on a black & yellow tarmac
Fun ride today.  Brendan, Brian, Dale, John, me, plus the new guy.

We did River Road to 9W to Sparkill, then worked our way around to the Bradley/Tweed Climb.  Drop to Piermont, refill at the shop, then home.  A nice rumble on 9W as well.

Rain was at the start, it dried out, then we got dumped on  9W, with the Bridge clear, then dumped again once on the west side bike path.

And, as punishment, I got a flat, just after leaving the group at 125th street.

good times.
Did the taco run, and by the gods who did not side with me.  Never in my life have I had a flat, or fell off my bike.

I had two flats and fell off tooling around doing track standing with a wet bike and wet shoes.

Was it worth it?

Hell yes  for those seafood taco and chorizo taco.
Nice meeting you in the park Damian.
Nice meeting you in the park Damian.
Likewise, good riding with you.
Sunday, will head to Cunningham Park on the cyclocross bike.

Plan is to get there around 8:30am and ride about 2~2:30 hours.

Come join me. Riding single track is awesome, but it is more awesome w/ friends.
Anybody riding tomorrow morning?  I need to be back to Brooklyn by 10am but would like to get some miles in before that.

The race in prospect park is exactly what you described.
A reminder that I am planning Cunningham on the cx bike tomorrow. Around 8:30 am for 2 hours.

Text/call if you wanna join me: 347.225.1058

Might be more relaxed about the start time if I don't hear from anyone. Cheers!
Planning again on riding Cunningham trails on the CX bike this Sunday.

Start around 8:30am at Cunningham, for about 2+ hours.

Text/Call if you wanna join: 347.225.1058

Riding single track w/ friends is about the most fun you can have on a bicycle.

cheers.
+1 for Cunningham
+2 for cunnigham , i can drive
Think I'll be riding the road Sunday at 9am.  GWB.
Gonna be hot Sunday. I'll probably start riding quite early to avoid the worst of it.

Embrace the heat.
If I can get dirt tires I might be a +3 for Cunningham.
Time for Cunningham?
