Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

I'd like to do about the same tomorrow, 9am could work. but 10am even better. Endurance would be ideal since I am gonna try to do that bear mountain ride on Sunday.
Rolling out from my place at 9 for Market with Jill and Alice. V easy pace there, going back at a faster clip on my own via river road. Holler.
Sunday, there is group called Freinds in Fitness (FIF) that is hosting a ride to bear mt. It's supported w SAG. They're doing the Grand Fondo route. It's going to be a very fast ride, v strong riders. Two options: 1) leaving from Strictlys at 6am sharp for 100 miles, 2) leaving from Market at 6:45 for a shorter ~72 mile ride.
I will drive up just cause it's so early and can fit another rider or two if anyone wants to come.

i might be interested and able to swing this... a couple of question to help me decide:

what distance are you thinking of? i prefer 72 ish to 100

what time leave brooklyn?

what aprox time back in brooklyn?

thanks!

@eloy I am thinking the 72 mile option. if we feel good at the end, we could always ride past market and tack on a few extra miles.

we'd need to leave from Park Slope by 6am at the latest. 5:45 if we wanna hit a bodega for a couple coffees on the way. It'll take about 35-40 min to drive to Market from my place.

with SAG eliminating stops, total ride time should be in the 3.5 hour range.

If we don't tack on additional miles, we'll be back in BK by noon.

I'm parked right out front of my apartment. just need to throw your bike up top and roll.

I'll forward you the email chain for the ride tomorrow. The FIF guys basically train hard all year for the GFNY and GFNJ. They're hardcore roadies. Just missed winning GFNJ the last couple years bc of Martys, who basicaly stack their team with CAT 1 guys. Riders from a few other area teams also joining tomorrow (eg High Gear, Hilltop).

would great if you could join
Anyone doing the Kissena Traditional tomorrow?
Love to see some peeps.
I can do the 9am JP (prefer 8am if poss).
I'll be at BB 8am, GWB 9am.  Turning early, either after River Road or after Clinton, depending on which way we go.
In either time suits
I can do the 9am JP (prefer 8am if poss).
Beth has to run before I can go out, so 8am is impossible for me to make.
I'll be there for 8 AM at BB
Oops... 9am for me then, but need to go back early.
I'm running late to the GWB. I'd love to ride with the group but if it's best for the group to press on without me, I understand.
I will be hitting Cunningham on Sunday on the CX Bike. Expect to be there around 8:30ish am. Will be there for about 2 to 2:30 hours.

Just as a way to slowly clean the cobwebs as Cyclocross is certainly coming.

Message me here or text if you wanna join or meet up: 347.225.1058
@eloy  looking to join if the weather holds and/or not too muddy from the night before.  Go easy on me.
I'm riding to Piermont tomorrow. 8 a.m. BB 9 a.m. GWB. It'll be hot hot hot like the early bird Sizzler buffet.

not sure if I'm making it, but will try.  Depends on the runner in the house.
I'll be there.
Any takers for a run up to Peekskill tomorrow? Thinking Watertower, Little Tor, Gate Hill, Tiorati and maybe Perkins if the legs have it.
I'll do that until water tower, but then back to the BK via Rockland Lake after that.
I'll be at Cunningham tomorrow railing berms, catching air and just gettin all around rad
If you haven't ridden yet today and want to, I'm thinking of driving to NJ in the next 45 min to do a 2.5 - 3 hr ride. Good loop with some bitchin climbs. about a 45 min drive out there.
Weather permitting of course.

Slept on don't wait for me (will prob be @ GWB 9:30 for anyone else)
Good times with Eloy, Jim, and a cameo by Yackintosh. It's been an embarrassingly long while since I rode a bike off a trainer and today was a gnarly way of reintroducing myself with the great outdoors. Cunningham was filled with wet rocks and roots, mud puddles and overgrown greenery reaching out into the single track to shred bare skin. Pretty sure all of us sacrificed some blood this morning. Maybe not Eloy because he is The Hotness.

I'm always terrified in the trails but I keep showing up to ride them anyway. You should do the same.
