real feel looks like 25 degrees and rain...not road weather but certainly makes for fun off roading...may partake

Fun ride at Cunningham with Mark T and Eloy today. Temps were colder than yesterday but the rain washed l the snow away. Well, almost all the snow. 

There are a bunch of new sections. Surprisingly, with the exception of a few spots, the trails were not that muddy. What mud did get on my bike froze pretty quickly. 

Mark was sporting a new aero integrated bar/stem which made him look fast. Eloy was getting his mojo back when a flat tire caused his bike to gout from under him and he injured his hand. He’ll probably be swollen tonight but still ride for another half hour. 

Im hoping we have more days like this in January 

I expect to be out tomorrow.  GWB 9am.  It looks like it will be juuuuust warm enough to ride long.

anybody interested in laps in prospect or a long ride tomorrow. if laps, i'll do some sweet spot work and if long ride, i'll stick to an endurance pace. starting at 9am from brooklyn either way. i'd be up for the normal sunday ride but i got a work thing in the morning

Sunday is Funday.
9am GWB.  I expect to make it at least as far as Rockland Lake.

I plan on it - but doubtful for Rockland Lake from Brooklyn. Probably Piermont for me.

Nice ride yesterday morning. Eloy and I headed up from Brooklyn and met with JP and Ricky at the GWB. We took the traditional Kissena route north and west until Piermont Road where Eloy and I turned back. We climbed Closter Dock and then swapped pulls on 9W. My first real ride outdoors since the end of November. Hopefully the weather allows for more...

I thought there was no bad weather, just insufficient clothing.

Great to see you and Eloy.  Pity you guys turned back so soon.  Ricky and I went out to Rockland Lake the usual way (backside of Bradley, then over to Mountainview), then did a lap of the lake, headed back largely on 9w, detour to go past Nyack College and up Clausland).

We stopped for a nature break at the Market.  This meant we were warming up again when we hit stateline.  A guy passed us going full gas, then two women, and then a second guy latched onto us.  When we got to the top, he asked, "aren't you going to chase them (down the hill)?"  

I told him no.  

On the next uphill, we kept our pace, and passed the three in front of us and kept going.  They latched onto us.  It took them a while to figure out how to ride a pace line, as we passed a few other groups.  And just as they figured it out, one of them blew, and that was it for them.  

Would have been great to see more people out there.  

Family events kept me from being able to join the group ride this weekend. Had to do some solo riding when I could fit it in.

I had plans to join Sunday also , but family events also keep me away , next sunday for sure
