@JohnPowell I’m supposed to meet with @JohnMalcolmson on the way up to give him my Kask helmet. Let me check in with him!
@RobertMullen if not, no worries. I have permission to leave at 8:00a as well if that’s easier for others

Such a beautiful day today. Good turnout and first real ride for me in about a month.

I struggled on the climb out of Alpine but thought I’d try going for the state line early. @JohnMalcolmson made it very clear that it was a bad idea by pulling everyone past me.

The usual Bradley/Tweed loop with Patrick, Ben, and Darren:

@JohnPowell @RobertMullen I’m down for either/or, be keen to keep it fairly sensibly paced as would like to try to be fresh for Tuesday...
@RichFreeman Sounds good. Was planning on keeping the pace sensible.

@RobertMullen Your call. 7:00a or 8:00a works.

@Matt Budofsky Are you flexible on start time?
Sensible pace sounds good and whatever time works for everyone is good with me
I think 8 would work best for me if you guys are cool with it! I’ll see y’all at BB
8:00a it is. See you dudes at BB.
You guys looked so awesome today on 9W
Sundays

Those black and white shots are dope. Looks like an infrared filter.
Spare helmet!

a quick reminder, I love that you all like my photos, within reason, you are welcomed to use or re-post in any way, but please credit me. @groovylab_ on IG, etc. thanks!
I know it's not a weekend, but I'm playing hooky from work on Friday and want to get a longer ride in post Look Sharp in PP. Anyone want to head towards Piermont (possibly via River Road if it's open)?
Anyone want to ride early on Saturday (7am?)...Doing reg at the race so want to take advantage of the early start...
Can meet you GWB @ 0800?
You may.
i am in for saturday.
Riding in PP 8am-9am then joining the Redbeard Laos for a cool down afterwards if anyone is interested/wants to get riding done before 11am tomorrow...
should be at the GWB Sunday at 9. Not 100% though.  Not yet.
rolling out a bit late.  Will be at the GWB by 9:20
I was.  I understand why nobody was there.

Proceeded to do what is basically my traditional Sunday ride.

But, when I was on Strava, I noticed that Ben King, the double stage-winner at the Vuelta, was riding our local roads on May 23 this year, hunting for KoMs.  He did the ranger station hill in 3:05, knocking 20 seconds off the previous best time.  But, despite his pro-ness, didn't tick off all the hills in the area.  Only notching five KoMs--he only took three seconds off the KoM on stateliness hill.  Considering that some of his efforts were labeled "PR" i guess he rides around here some, or at least once before.

536 Watts for River Road -- and basically 530 Watts (5W/kg) anywhere he KOM'd -- Rumour was that he only went for river road, but clearly he went for a few others.
GWB Meet Kissena Ride this Sunday

This coming weekend will be my last opportunity for a good ride for a while. Sunday will have to be the day. I am thinking of a ride up to Bear mountain. Will likely hit some climbs along the way. Since I am a fragile daffodil, I will probably ride across to Peekskill for a beer, burger, and train ride home. Company is very welcomed.

Why?  Begging to be asked.

Business, family obligations, and vacation will take my weekends away until August. Although it's increasingly looking like one of those is about to take my Sunday away as well.... :( stay tuned
Anyone who's not racing tomorrow (or post race) want to do a River Road ride tomorrow on the earlier side of things? I'm thinking BB at 7:30, GWB at 8:30.
