quick question: does anyone ever park their car in Fort Lee and ride 9W from there? Was thinking of meeting some friends up there after a ride either this weekend or next weekend and was wondering if anyone had any tips on where to park? Does Strictly Bicycles have a lot that can be used?
@EricMa

When driving over the George Washington Bridge, take exit 73 and stick to the right which will turn you around pointing back to the river. Youll see the GWB bike path directly ahead of you. Make a left on Hudson Terrace where you will see metered parking on the right. (See circled area on bottom of map) You can use the PaybyPhone app or quarters to pay for parking. It’s free on Sundays and Holidays.

If there are no spots available I usually drive a little further north on Hudson Terrance and pull a left on Bayview Ave and park on 7th street. (See upper area of map)  It’s residential and the parking has always been plentiful and safe. I would not recommend parking at Strictly simply because they don’t have the capacity to manage all the cyclists who drive to Fort Lee and likely frown on spots being used by non-customers for 3+ hours.

Can people make this?  At 8:30?

Sorry for the earlier departure time, but a mandatory family function got moved up by an hour plus.
Anyone coming at 8:30am tomorrow for the Skillz Clinic?

I’m down! But I am also down to just to do a chill ride and we can do skillz when more folks are around.
I'm signed up for gravel with GRNY this morning.
I am not going to make the track clinic on Sunday, I have a 70-80 mile ride in my training plan to finish off my current block that I need to do. Originally planned for Saturday, but I'm moving to Sunday since Sat looks like a washout.

I'm planning to go from Greenpoint to Bradley/Tweed via 9W, then futz around Nyack before heading back via 9W. Pace out and most of the way back will be chill/endurance, and then around Alpin I'll kick up to tempo for the rest of the way back and through the city.

I do support everyone going to the track clinic if you can make it/it works for your plans. If not and anyone wants to join me, I'm planning to be at GWB before 9a. Will make a call later this week re: timing
If the rain isn't pouring tomorrow morning, I'm planning on River Road and maybe throw in Bradley/Tweed.

Early bird special 8a GWB, will confirm here and on Slack if I cancel.
9a to let the road dry out a bit. Might cut the ride short but we'll see!
Good times with JP out on a damp but warm day. Had a long sleeve spring jersey and that was plenty of coverage. I packed away my rain jacket and whatever bit of sporadic rain we did get was a nice reprieve.

I've been mostly riding the trainer weekdays due to time constraints and racing at the park weekends so wanted some quality time on the saddle. I planned on a pretty straightforward river road to 9w to Piermont kind of day but JP was waiting at the bridge so I knew a classic wormhole ride was on the menu. We did go through river road through Alpine but cut across into low roads. We went through Bergen and Rockland and we ended up riding through some of my old haunts.

Didn't want to stay out super late so hammered it some back on 9w trading pulls. JP and I sat up toward the end, but of course he led us through one last little wormhole up and around the beautiful neighborhoods just west of 9w. All the trees were blooming and their day glow purple and pink flowers were really something against the gray backdrop. We popped out next to Strictlys and the rest is history.

I've come to really enjoy riding in the wet and rain and today was a fun one. Thanks JP!

I’m also not afraid of a little rain
nice loop taking in Shirley Chisholm and the windy Rockaway
I'm thinking of a nice endurance paced team ride on Sunday, anyone in?

5 boro ride is happening same day so I'm assuming parts of the city might be annoying to ride through.
I should be done for that.
I could be down, weather pending. It would be my first group ride in years... David, you thinking typical start time (9am GWB)?
I’m likely in for Sunday.
Early bird start 8a at GWB, I have to get back to Queens by 12-1230.
I’m in !
I am down!
Whose in for tomorrow?

I'll be there at 9.  I expect that the VO2 group will be heading out for a hammer fest.  My original plan was to join them as far as The Market, and hten turn back. If there's a group, hammer home on 9W.  If not, perhaps hills in Alpine.
There is a slim possibility I make it out for 9 GWB- @mugwump Not sure what this V02 ride is, but sounds interesting-I'm game for a bit of hammerfest
Im headed out to the meet points this morning, aiming to do River Road Z2 for the first time this season, on my new bike.
I'll be at GW @9
We still on for endurance group tomorrow 8am GWB? I’m planning to be there, I have a 60-70 mile target for the day so I’m down to go to at least Piermont, maybe Nyack cafe?
8a GWB NJ side.
Sunday May 4th: 7am BB; 8am GWB -- see you then.
See you all at 8AM.
Don't forget the 5 Boro Bike Tour is tomorrow... we will need to cross the start.

Gonna try to be at GWB tomorrow morning at 8.  Who's in?
I could be convinced. Gonna be a little breezy!
