I am maybe headed up that way but wouldn't be at GWB till closer to 9 ish
We can split the work.  I'll sit behind you in the headwinds and pull you along in the tailwinds.
C u there
Will be at the bridge at 9 with some buddies, will see if they want to ride all together so don’t intimidate them..
Not sure what others plans are for Sunday AM but I’m aiming for a River Road loop.
reports?

Pretty chill ride out to Bradley Tweed on the back roads with a couple of mates. We skipped River Road as we thought it could have been messy with the storm yesterday. Stopped at Piermont and took turns on the 9W heading back, fun with the tailwind.

Passed another Kissenista heading out but couldn’t see who it was (head was down), it was around 12:15.

I’ve felt weak all week… not getting enough rest/recovery. Will do some VO2max repeats on alpine tomorrow, if anyone has any massochistic tendencies you are welcome to join but I’m unsure of when I’m gonna roll out.
Good ride up 9W to bradley tweed and down to Nyack.  Rode with Casey our new member and a few of his buddies.  Kept it pretty fast the whole ride with some big hammer sessions on the return south.  Of course my PM dies 5 mins into the ride so not able to get a new battery till walgreens in Nyack. Great ride but my legs are pretty cooked, may just do local laps tomorrow in PP
The GFNY is this Sunday, May 18th.  They're opening the meet at the GWB at 5am, and the ride starts at 7am.
Might be a good weekend to try out a different route perhaps through westchester or head out to points south or east?
Weather is looking good and I'm ready to rock. Just say when and where on Sunday.

I could be down for north bound of south/north county trail way? Not necessarily the sexiest but safe roads and vibes are different.

My plan is still up in the air for Sunday, I need to be home by noon so I may make a game time decision.

I may also go out 9w a bit on Saturday as the rain chances appear to be diminishing. I have a ~3.5 hour ride on the menu with a 70m tempo block starting at 2.5hrs.
Eloy shared this with me once , I’ve never tried it

Would love to do the 100mi route another weekend, looks like a great time, I just don't have the schedule to do it this Sunday.

Re: Sunday GFNY - IIRC from past years their start times and route didn't interfere with standard start times and routes. I'd be okay rolling the dice for an 8a GWB start, low roads + Bradley/Tweed and then push the pace back down 9w.
I spoke too soon re: my Sunday. For Saturday, I would do an over 9W to start and futz around up to Nyack so I can do my 70m tempo on the way back to the city and finish before I hit the bridge.
Last year I was out there towards the tail end of GFNY and they were detouring people off of 9W before the turn off for Alpine.
Sorry I haven't joined anything yet, road bike is in construction and I've been graveling until then. I'm bikepacking to canada next week but back and in for rides following memorial day. A friend with TBD posted about Neutral Ground on June 7th, not sure if anyone is going but I could be up for either gravel or road. https://acmebicycle.co/neutralground
This has been going on for ages guys , usually best work around is left at GWB and quick right into fort Lee
I was thinking about a Rockaway/Long Beach ride, if someone's up for something flat.
8a GWB for me and will work around any GFNY closings.
FYI the event starts 7a on the GWB and mainly sticks to River Road and 9w so we'll be fine on low roads.

Aight I'll join 8 am GWB!
Excellent. See you all at the GWB at 8AM - will go to the NJ side.
Sharing my ride schedule for the coming weekend in case anyone is keen on joining:
Saturday: I have a 100-110mi in the schedule, I'm thinking I'll probably do this route: https://www.strava.com/routes/3277005890792483700

Sunday: 50mi hammer fest in the schedule, aiming avg speed ~25mph. Ideally this is a group ride otherwise I'll obliterate myself. Probably a 9W endeavor to ~Piermont & back

ideally would roll out early Saturday, 7am. Sunday would hope 8am gwb

I'm in for both.
@GregHoge sweet! I historically have stopped midway in Yorktown Heights to get a sandwich or food; there are a couple options (Trailside cafe for coffe/pastries and Heavy Bear deli for real food) at that left turn that goes off the trailway and around the Croton Reservoir.
I’m trying to get out of a Hampton visit
will join if I get my way 👍
You looked pretty sick when I saw you in the park.  You should probably stay home, specifically within 60 miles of home..
bumping this to see if anyone feels like they might be in for Saturday or Sunday, starting to think about planning
