Jules's camera phone > Stokes's camera phone
and it was not mayonnaise soup!! it was egg salad and it wasn't bad actually, quite dense if you must know, just like...- massage postponed for tomorrow.
Ryan's knuckle hair - ugh, so gross

Some closeups should never ever happen.

Sounds like a bodacious ride, tho! Can't wait until the 'bone is mine again...
after that last bogart session you pulled?

neva gonna happen
Hey Guys --for this Saturday-- Wojciech will be rollin up to the GWB (Jersey side) to ride back into this fair city of ours. I'll be meeting him there. Check out the "Bike Touring" thread to follow-up with him and others.
Woj, sorry to miss this but i'll see u on the road very shortly!
I'll be going up to the country this weekend, mainly to retrieve my look 585 which has been sitting up there the whole winter and it's time to take it out of the stable.
On sunday, 9am I will be doing this 100mile ride with the mid-hudson bicycle club if anyone is interested in joining: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1113958
this is excellent training also considering hunter mountain race is around the corner. would love to have some fellow kcc-s representing with me!
We need a specific time and place to meet Wojciech. Does noon at Strictly Bicycles make sense? It is a little more civilized than the sidewalk at the end of the GWB.
***cross posting from "Bike Touring" thread*** *Wojciech told me that he has some flexibility on timing and wants to give people racing Prospect time to get up there... I'm guessing 11am would be fine for that? The idea of meeting at Strictly Bicycles sounds good to me.

***end cross-post***

For a group ride, does anyone want to meet at the GWB jersey-side at 9am for a tempo/spin up to piermont (and environs) then stopping back by Strictly Bicycles to meet Wojciech at 11am? I'm taking it easy on the bike due to tendonitis in my hip, thus no racing or high-intensity training this weekend.
!!! Wojciech has OK'd the 11am Strictly Bicycles meetup for tomorrow, Saturday May 5th !!!

Everyone --come on out to Strictly Bicycles at 11am to meet Wojciech, welcome him home and escort our good man back into the city. Let's roll over to central park and eat some Gyros with Wojciech and listen to his wonderful tales from his magnificent journey!

As I noted above, I would like to meet at the GWB for a regular-ish group ride to piermont towards meeting Wojciech at Strictly on the way back.
*** AHOY ALL CHANGE-UP *** yes, a slight change-up... Wojciech says he can meet us in Piermont @ 10am. So that's that new plan.

I will be at BB/Bklyn @ 8am, GWB/NJ @ 9am, Piermont @ 10am. Kissena peloton with Wojciech back down 9W --with optional stop for lunch in Central Park.

*** one more thing *** Wojciech just called me to say that we'll still stop by Strictly Bicycles at 11am to meet anyone who's not riding to Piermont. So, I guess it's the original plan just with Wojciech along for more of the riding.
I'm planning on Strictly Bicycles at 11. Will ride up there after the race( and breakfast)
I'm riding tomorrow. Just not sure where. No turkeys. No model airplanes. Anyone want to make plans?

Jawbone Ride, Sunday, 5/20/12 (edited as per stokes)

Two weekends from now, I will celebrate finishing graduate school with an epic Jawbone throwdown

There will be prizes for Best Dressed, Most Improved Odor, and DFL

If Jules wants to come out with the thimble, that would make my day
5/19 is a Saturday. Do you mean 5/20? Bertucco's workshop is scheduled for the 19th.

So everyone knows, we now have a calendar where such events will be posted. This includes group rides and mentored workshops. You can find this on the new kissena web site (still a bit of a transition):

...Um, isn't that the same day as the granfondo? I assume 9w and the surrounding countryside will be jammed with fondoists?
god damn it!

thanks for doing my homework for me, everyone
You tight.
montauk is going to take up LI on the same day...
THIMBLE does not roll with Herds of Freds.
it lokos like the fondo starts at 7am from the GWB, so we should be fine
I'm Fondoing, otherwise, I'd create a custom inland route for the ride.

another day.

Freds roll with ring-pops too.
I'm sure we can find roads that are not thronging with Fondo riders.
