Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

is anyone doing a Saturday ride?
Yesterday's Turkey Day ride was nice. Neil & I broke off the group at Tweed and went long (like 100miles long). Made for a guilt–free face stuffing Thanksgiving experience.

If my legs come back to life, I may be looking for some more big miles this weekend. What is this Sat/Sun looking like for ya'll?
I'm down for a ride on Saturday. Anyone else? 8am BB.
I'm down with it.
See you guys 8am Brooklyn bridge.
Keep at 60ish cool?
Yup.
I'm boarding 4 dogs in addition to my own 2. Not everyone is cooperating/following the program. So I didn't make it over to Fort Lee until 915 yesterday and missed you all.....though I saw a number of Kissena going opposite direction at various points on my River Road, Piermont, Nyack jaunt. FYI River Road is now completely clear

Two of the dogs go home tomorrow. Come Sunday I can probably make it out the door quicker arriving in Fort Lee punctually at 9. So far I've only gone 75(from Greenpoint) but can probably go a bit farther

I decided to sleep in and stay local today. Will be in PP at 12noon for an hr or maybe bit more. Any takers feel free to join.
I'll be riding tomorrow. 8 a.m. BB, 9a.m. GWB. Might want to hammer a bit once in Jersey.
I'm going out at 7am from BB if anyone wants to get on an earlier train.
I should be at the GWB at 9.
I'm in. Can't get enough of Wump and his shiny new shoes.
my oldest dog is sick....i'm not gonna make it
I will be there.
Nice. It is chilly out!
Good times today. Met up with Whitey and Dave "I'm a Cat 3 now Biotches" Gardiner at BB and we rode the frigid tailwind up to GWB where JP "You all ain't peepin' my shiny new shoes under these here booties" led us up River Road where we found Keith. After Keith put a finishing throat chop to the the Russian secret agent he was battling and finished his cigarillo we fired up JP's wormhole machine and sped through a rift in the space-time continuum where we pedaled around a bit before popping back up underneath GWB.

No stop, no muffin but good times all around. It is getting chill out there folks be sure to swap to winter tires pronto and remember the wait times drop with the mercury.

Peace.
Bugger! I missed the JP labyrinth ride. Was 3 minutes late and tried catching you guys by doing reverse River Road... I should have known that JP took you up the goat track, traversed the cliff through the abandoned asbestos mine to do 360's in the Missile Silo. Ended up at Mattie's Piermont Bikelery drowning my sorrows with Stumptown and cringing at the Bjarne Riis CSC doco.
Drat!  Next time post or text someone!

On the way home we rode the Grant's Tomb finish and were marveling at how far you took that sprint... crazy genetics dude.

Probably just as well I never would have won the state line sprint if you'd been there.  As it was JP & Jeff coaxed me to a new 5 second record :P
@ Jules. Good advice hombre! As for the genetics, I'd say it was more the preparation with that one... that and the power of Ultegra 9 speed!

Congrats on stateline, surprised you took out Whitey! I bushwhacked the Fred's I was rotating with.

Malcolmson always does a great job of listening to my advice and then completely ignoring it and still doing well. "Don't sprint from the bottom of Cat's Paw," I remember telling him when he was a Cat 5, and "don't even think about going from the bottom of the closing straight after the 180," was last year's top-tip.

I wonder what pearls of wisdom I should share with him this year?
