@dstearns If I can ride, it'll only be up to the GWB with you. Wife called dibs on morning workout. Don't wait around for me, I'm going to play it by ear and will either see you early or not.

Just wear good wool socks.OK, I'll be the first to admit that I was up around 7:00 this morning, took a look out the window and thought "nope". I did manage to run 7.5 miles later on though. What are everyone's thoughts on riding long in the rain, generally?
I prefer slippers when I'm lounging on the couch, but wool socks certainly work.Thierry Bonnaire said:Just wear good wool socks.OK, I'll be the first to admit that I was up around 7:00 this morning, took a look out the window and thought "nope". To sort of reiterate what JP said on another thread. If you ever intend to race in similar conditions, then it is wise to spend some time to see how you and your bike handle in wet conditions. Now weather it means you do you regularly scheduled 4 hour endurance ride? That is up to you and the ambient temperature, your clothing choices and wind/sun conditions. When you get wet, you start to lose body heat at 25 times faster than when simply in air.Patrick Jones said:OK, I'll be the first to admit that I was up around 7:00 this morning, took a look out the window and thought "nope". This is why we ride. The sweet nectar of life.David Yang said:that was the first time I got a large coffee at the end of a ride/race.
