@Jules: I think you can afford some Hagen Daas. It's the kids that are weighing you down.

It's was nice meeting you today David and looking forward to meeting all the other kissena riders on the road.stay safe on the road.
Thanks, you too.  I'm racing at the park on Saturday and going out for a longer ride on Sunday morning (don't think I have time to check out the Harlem Crit), so maybe see you this weekend?
Cross post from the Family Men thread:

Family Men - this Sunday is our day of glory!

And we MAMILs (Middle-Aged Men in Lycra) don't want ties, grilling gear or weed wackers.  We want time in the saddle!

I realize many are likely racing at Harlem....but for those who aren't....anyone interested in a family man ride over the GWB, followed by swing past 125th St. on the way home to watch some of our teammates crush it at the Harlem crit?

Holla....trying to figure out how to do this *and* work in some QT with the family as well, so open to suggestions.....
Would love to but can't. Though I was thinking of trying to get from here to Short Hills NJ on Sunday morning. I can't figure out a safe / enjoyable way of doing that? Anyone riden out to the Great Swamp or Watchung Reservation before and know a good route.
Hey y'all-- In the off-chance any Kissenas aren't racing on Saturday morning and might want to join on a ride to Piermont, let me know. Temps are supposed to be amenable for a somewhat later start-time; I was thinking around 10.

I'm out of town this weekend unfortunately, but moving forward I want to try and ride more on Saturdays as opposed to Sundays, provided that there are ample numbers of non-racers like you're saying Kayt.
hi patrick/kayt:  i'll be up for some saturday morning rides, soon.  can't this weekend.   but would love to join you - i'm not racing, but always game for a ride to Piermont.
Thanks @Patrick and @David! Glad to know there's interest for Saturday morning rides. I'm happy to go next week too, and will plan to post here again before then.

Kayt and all, we're such a big club with so many diff't schedules, that on the weekends there is always someone from Kissena riding, and not racing. In the winter time, especially when there is no racing, we try to do a standard group ride with a set course on Sundays at 9am leaving from the Jersey side of the GWB.

But really all year round guys are riding in the a.m. on weekends. Just post your departure time, intended route, intensity and voila I bet you'll have company!
Kayt, 10am where? I'm perhaps most known for being seen on people's ride back to the city because I am a fan of riding later.
Hey @Konrad, good to know there are others who sometimes need a later start time! I'm going to say 10:30 under the Manhattan Bridge (where the Sand St. path spits you out). No worries if you don't get this in time--I'll be a bit more organized for a late ride next time :)
@Kayt Mathers - Alright. I probably won't head that way as I'm meeting a couple of friends... but we should be at the GWB around 11:30. Maybe we'll run into one another.
Thanks @konrad, I'll shoot to be at the GWB at 11:30 and stick around a few minutes in case we have similar timing.
i'm planning to go to Piermont tomorrow am and then watch Harlem crit on the way back (eg the 4s start at 1pm).
@ dstearns, what time are you riding?
I could do the usual 9am GWB but also a little earlier / later
i'm going to do openers right now in PP. and try out a new gopro mount that is infinitely fredlier than the handlebar mount, but might offer better footage.

i'm not actually sure what openers are so feel free to come show me.

Hey Floris - ended up making a plan with Neil. We are driving over from Brooklyn, probably start riding around 11:15 or so. Plan still somewhat up in the air. Think we'll just do the Kissena route from Fort Lee (not sure yet) then out to Piermont or Nyack. Neil staying in NJ after, so I'll be riding back and stopping at Harlem on return to watch races.

Saturday "fambly-man" start time - 6am from BB.  Doing Ash/Tweed/Nike and back to Manhattan.  No stops, gotta be at work by 10am.

BK side of BB, Saturday 8 AM if there are any other takers.

I may join you from BB to GWB.  Have to get back to Brooklyn early as well, but will probably split off to take it easy up to Alpine.
@tito / @david - I think I'm in for an early start too.

i will be at BB at 6am , may head back at piermount

Nice, we've got a little convoy here of 6amers.

I read that as "Gamers" and my heard skipped a beat.  Not enough time...
I'm in for 6am tomorrow, and will probably break off with Mr. Yang.  Where's the meet point?
Brooklyn Bridge bike/ped path entrance.

I am minimally tempted to join you 6 AM folks. I'll probably stick with 8 AM and do imaginary solo paceline up 9W ;-)
Hey guys i might show up for the 6 am crowd. ill prob turn around early tho
I am at GWB anyone riding?
I'm going to spin around PP a few times later this morning and do some openers. Thinking about 10:30. Join if you can.
Thanks boys. Me go sleep now.
