Another great morning turnout.  I was joined by Eloy, Mark, Renat, Dale, and Eric!  Thanks for pushing me this morning!
Humid out again this AM.  I got a good workout on two hard laps when, at the very end of the second lap, bam, my latex rear tube finally gave up the ghost after 3 months.  Then I got passed by all those I had just passed.

A quick fix and a few mosquito bites later, I blew out my spare.  It was a huge rip.  I had double-checked to make sure I wouldn't get a pinch when I inflated so have to assume it either had something to do with this older tube, else simply user error.  A patch didn't work.  I'll double-check all my spares before the fall riding sets in.

This was two days after I put on my Sept list of things to do the no 3 item of changing my rear tire.

I began my walk of shame up the hill and fortunately got a dozen offers for help.  It's nice to ride in a strong, giving community.

I got a tube from Jim - thank you!
I spent my last dollar on a lottery ticket Thursday (Nope, daddy doesn't get new road shoes) so the real lesson is to always carry cash.  Jim, I owe you a tube or $10, whichever I have on me when I see you next.

Jim was out with Mark, and Eloy was doing solid laps.  And, sight to behold, I was called to by Dale doing some kind of exercise or activity without a bicycle.  What magic is this?  And he was in the jogger's lane?  You are in the wrong lane, sir!  Do you need assistance?!

Thanks again, Jim.  Nice to see everyone out this morning.
gonna make it out tmrw morning , 6am GAP.
Rode with Bruce this morning, saw Jules and Dale doing some workouts as well. After warming up, Bruce and I did the 3x3 minute super hard efforts followed by 30 minutes of tempo.  Great training ride and thank you Bruce for providing the motivation and coaching to get through the hard stuff!

Won't be back out in PPark until mid next week, hope to see some of you in Fort Lee this upcoming weekend.
It was a lovely morning to try and make myself vomit. Nearly succeeded. Thanks to Bruce & Scott for a friendly wheel between efforts.
Who wants to ride Thurs morning, GAP 6am?
Coffee and Donuts to follow!
I can do Wednesday morning, thursday morning is a "might could"
I'll be at GAP Wednesday at 6am, taking it easy this week.  See you there.
Did the evening ride today - forgot how crowded it is. (shudder)
hope to be out tomorrow - sprints on the menu. If you're gonna mock, you'd best offer singles while you do it...
I'll probably see some of you out there. I usually get to the park about 6:45, so it might just be in passing but I plan on being out there Wed & Thurs morning. If by some miracle I get there at 6, I'll see you at GAP.

Just spent two weeks off the bike due to work / vacation. Monday morning, my first day back on, I got a ticket for rolling (very cautiously, I might add) through a red light on the way to the park (no cars in sight except the cop car that somehow ended up behind me) then today broke a spoke on my 2nd lap, throwing my rear wheel way off & had to head home. Hoping luck will turn my way tomorrow.

Hope your week gets better, Brian!

I just need one person to say that they will be at GAP at 6am tomorrow, Thursday morning, so that I do not turn my alarm off and go back to sleep.  Who's with me?

Donutplant.
Scott, Dale and I met at a very dark GAP this morning.  We were joined briefly for a quick hello from Erika(!) who's been getting out for laps before the little one wakes up.  Nice to see you, it's been a while, I hope you're eyeing Cross.

We pushed off and had a good warmup lap, with not too much traffic on the roads and then Dale took off for nasty sprint practice while I was still half-asleep and already dreaming of coffee.

Parts of the park were cool-ish, you know how it gets like that with its own eco-system.  And highlights included Coach Lipscomb training Team Lipstick, and a rabbit running alongside us for a moment.  Yep, a relatively calm morning.
Nice to ride with you guys this morning.

I won't make it out on Thursday, taking a few days off for R&R, but I hope others can join Jill in the AM.

I'll be there Thurs. 6am
I have to be more realistic.... Will be there by 6:30. Will hang at gap for 10min or so if arrive early to join anyone who passes by.
I'm probably going to sleep in and get my 26 miles in during my commute.
I'm going to try for 6:30am tomorrow at GAP for about 45 minutes. I need to ease into the 6am start then a full day of school.

If I see you, I'll fall in. If not, enjoy sleeping in!
Good times today. Met up with Mark, then Craig found me and did a little Gunnery Sgt Hartman routine. Even spied Dale on some beoootiful tan sidewalls.
Anyone for a ride on Wed. morning, 6am @ GAP? Been off the bike for a while, so just looking to get in some crisp morning miles!
I'm looking to get in some CX practice and drills this week.  Anyone with barriers and advice heading out any weekday morning, let me know when and where, I'd love to join you.
Thursday morning 6:30 am in Prospect Park.

You bring your CX bike. I'll bring barriers and cones.

You should know how to figure out the location inside the park.

On a somewhat related note: Has anyone gone to Smorgarsburg in Prospect Park yet?

Awesome, thanks Eloy.  See you Thursday morning.
I'll be there.

I need to practice my turns where the camber is turned way down or off.
Thanks Eloy!  I unfortunately will be in PA on Thursday, so will have to pass (I need a job that doesn't have me travel so much ... however, I did get in some sick NorCal riding yesterday)

Reminder.
Thursday morning 6:30 am in Prospect Park.

You bring your CX bike. I'll bring barriers and cones.

Nice crew out this morning - Eloy, Dan, Adam, Dale, and myself. Eloy set up a nice little hot lap with some cones, we put the barriers in place, and then we chased each other around for a while.
I guess my week of recovery is over. I guess that means I have to start training in the park again. See y'all (I hope) in the am.
