Hey folks, I'm going through that "big life moment" with my girlfriend (you know... when you finally get her to agree to get on a proper road bike and go cycling with you outside of the weekend ride to brunch). So, I'm looking to piece together a bike for her.
I'll be buying her a Cross Check frame from Ride Brooklyn, and hoping to scrap together parts over the next month or so. I have a wheelset and saddle, and nothing else. Looking to buy a low end groupset if someone has one they took off a bike (Tiagra, Apex, etc). Alternatively, I may frankenstein the bike together with bits and bobs I find if anyone has a random FD/RD/Cranksets lying around.
Specifically looking for:
- 38cm Compact Road bars
- Low end Brifters (Tiagra, Apex, etc)
- Compact, CX, or Triple Crankset
- Bottom Bracket (68mm)
- Flat pedals
- Cassette
- Canti brakes
- Short stem (70? 80?)
- Seatpost (anything)
- Seatpost Collar (anything)
- Wider tires (700x28c? 30c? 35c?!)

I am selling a pair of Sidi Genius 6.6 Vent Carbon road shoes that I bought last summer. Great shoes, but I bought them a half size too short. They are 44.5 Mega width. I have a narrow foot but used and custom insole and they fit perfectly. They are in great shape and probably only have a 1000 miles on them. This includes the brand new Sidi insole. Asking $225. Let me know if interested before I put them on eBay.

Hey Kissenas! I'm looking for some stuff...
Anyone have a 3-bike rack that they could lend me for this upcoming weekend, Friday through Sunday? Kayt, Emily and I are doing (Tour de) Syracuse Race Weekend and my rack is crap. I have a Honda Civic w/o hitch and w/ a moon roof, so basically only trunk suspended stuff works.
Also, my rear wheel was just diagnosed by RB as terminal. Cost for repair would be about the same as a new Ksyrium Equipe. Before I bought a new one, I wanted to see if anyone had anything same/slightly nicer and used that they're looking to sell.

@ Erika - what is wrong with the wheel - is it an Equipe?
Reason I'm asking is that I have a rear Equipe with a hub that I've repaired twice and have given up on. If you want to cannibalize what is left of mine to fix yours, you can have it free. I'm guessing that you're also having hub issues. They suck.

The Elites have also hub issues, mine was rebuilt last year.
