@ John: I was there and can attest to the fact that Harry has something in common with you: he works more than his fellow riders, who are then able to finish ahead of him:=)
js, my math may be off finish time as 26'45" winner@ 26'41" for 12miles? my cateye had 24.7avg when i looked at the 1st turn after finish. stephane ur right...but i 'thought' we all worked hard to finish as fast as possible.. in all it was a blast, not too strategic on my part even though i did relize i was in trouble when i was pullin the last toward the last turn and as i pulled out no one came up i relief...arrgh screwed/used again! ;>
Is anyone coming out tonight? I need someone to give me a leadout so I can outsprint Scott finally... Any takers? : D

I know John would appreciate some help or the sprints! So get your butts out there.
Enormous thanks to Stephan for chasing down the break and putting out an ungodly amount of watts to lead me out for S1. I had it in the bag and was looking to see if anyone was chasing when I nailed a pothole. Bye bye 1 set of kysiriums, double flat and and two smashed rims. Any reco's for BK wheelbuilders gladly accepted. Not sure of results.
Dude that sucks!
Post Catskills I predict a seriously motivated posse at FBF for you.
Ahh that sucks John. I thought Kysiriums were tougher than that.
John, do you have wheels that you can use in the mean time? I have a front wheel if you need one.

@ Joe — appreciate the offer, I can make do though. Cheers.
I'm planning on being there tonight. I haven't done a FBF race in a couple years. Is the Kissena reg $15?

I WILL get my ass handed to me. It'll be interesting to see how/when that occurs. That said, I'll try to do whatever I can to help out.

Quick RR:
Big field and windy. Found myself off the front the first couple of laps with a guy who unfortunately was a little underpowered—waited for bridgers. Thanks to Eric and Daniel for blocking. Daniel bridged up and selflessly kept me out there for another half lap (impressive pulls!). I took third in S1 and S2 which puts me 1st equal with Frias for jersey points. There were a few "max-out" attacks that had me on the ropes, but it was hard to keep away from an eager peloton. Vlad/Lance almost stuck a breakaway. I missed the wheel for the sprint, Carl placed I think. Good training for catskills! Cheers to Eric for giving it a whirl. Hope to see more Kissena's out there next week!
Woj, how was 123?
Bueller?
looking at the weather I am not sure it is happening tonight

The legs are caca and need to rest. You can count me in the 16th and the 23rd.

(Also, it's been raining a decent amount this afternoon, you sure this thing is still on?)
FBF race tonight is cancelled due to flooding
Count me in for the 16th!
Sweet! 2 to go I think.
I will try to make it for the 16th as well.
Tomorrow is Showtime John! I'll be there and I think I've got Bysshe from TOC to commit as well.
And by Showtime, I mean it's gonna be ugly. And awesome. And ALL about the beat-down. Just like my hero:

Your beatdown trailer is fuckin Gymkata?

I'll be there. But I'll seriously leave if I see a pommel horse.
Hold on a second Jeff, Jules may well be on to something here... if all he needs is two "handles" elevated off the ground, connected with some kind of "bar" then we're all set.

Looking forward to tonight—don't wear your brand new kit, it's going to be CX night.

Cheers!
I hate to dampen spirits, but with the rain we've been getting FBF may be flooded and unsafe to race on. I can't speak for Charlie, but considering the state of PP this morning, I can't imagine FBF is in any shape for riding. Keep an eye here and on the Kissena site for updates on FBF status this afternoon.
I am unwilling to relinquish my post TOC form to mere puddles. I'll strap on the aero bars and go Full Triathlete if I need to...
All,

There will be two announcements regarding the status of tonight's Floyd Bennett Field race. The first announcement will be made around 12 noon. If the course is deemed "not safe for racing" the race will be canceled. If the course is considered safe to race as of that time as second announcement will be made around 4:30PM for the most current status.

All updates will be posted on www.nyvelocity.com

@ Jeff. Hold on a second, Jules may well be on to something here... all he needs is two "handles" elevated off the ground, connected with some kind of "bar". Think about it: cycling, gymnastics and karate...

Looking forward to the inevitable cancellation post, any word?
Canceled. Actually, "Cancelled."

Boo
Weak

If you can't race through a foot of water then what chance do you have riding through 1½ or 2 feet?!?
If it's any consolation, Thursday should be good.
