Super stoked to see all the new faces rocking up in Kissena kit. One friendly (but firm) reminder - kit is for Kissena Club Members ONLY!

We get the support we do because our sponsors know that they'll be represented in the best possible way by Kissena members.

Please remember whenever you put on your kit you are representing not only our sponsors, who are awesome in their own right but FIFTY THREE YEARS of Kissena riders.

So if you have a pal that wants to join - that's super - send him or her to Phil or any other Board Member and we'll welcome them with open arms, but bootlegging kit to your buddies is not cool.

Hi Everyone - I'm Brian Miele. I joined the club about a month ago but haven't introduced myself yet. I attended a prospective members ride at the GW a little over a month ago - everybody was really inviting and the club seemed like a good fit. I've since been on a couple more group rides and hope to start racing soon as well.

I've been a cyclist for a while - started riding at 16, worked at a bike shop through high school, raced competitively for a few years in high school / college and was president of our collegiate club for a couple years but stopped riding / racing in 2008.

I moved to NYC in 2011 for grad school & for work in TV/Film and now work in post-production. I currently live in Brooklyn and hope to continue attending club rides and start racing again.

I have no recent cycling pics but here's one from collegiate days. I think urban camo was cool at the time...



But more recently, here I am eating a sandwich

Graydon, Brian and I had a great Alpine > Piermont ride in the weekend. Brian, you were wearing Hincapie kit — did you know he was a member of Kissena? Excited to have you on the team.

Hi everyone, my name is Edgar, I normally go by the name Steven which is my middle name but both are fine with me. I recently became a member of the club as I have met a few riders who ride for this team, it was a welcoming to be part of this great team. I started riding about two years ago where from casual rides I became interested towards racing and long distance. I live in Woodside,Queens not that far from Kissena Veldrome where I would ride around for a few hours and just train to get more use to the track environment. At one point this year I did a few of the track race but ended up off the saddle for a while due to the fact that I am waiting for my new frame-set to come in, A loww//.  I try riding every week at-least putting 100miles weekly ride with a few buddies of mine who has more experience than I do and head over to cp and do laps or also head up to 9w or even up to bear mountain as a group.I joined the group with the goal of having more opportunities to ride and develop. This would also be my first year racing for CRCR events so will see how it goes. Here is a pic of me with team kit as well with my track bike about a month ago when I had it.

Bears mentioning that Edgar is Colombian, a junior on the road and has an awesome last name. He is racing his first Junior 17-18 race in Central Park this Sunday.

Sorry for late, 
hello to everyone, MY name is Donato and I moved in the City from Italy! I joined the club few weeks ago and I started riding years ago but frequently because of MY work!!
I'm 39 years old, not so young but Events not old.
I live in Roosevelt Island. I'm trying to ride more than 100 Miles at week but I had a rest of 2 because Of my newborn.
I never race in FBF, PP and in CP but I'd like to start soon, just I need to be led!
I'm riding during the weekdays in CP

Hey Everyone, I'm Scott and just recently joined Kissena, and last rode with the group on Sunday, June 7, which was a great ride.  I was raised in Colorado, have been living in NYC for three years now (starting my fourth) and am always stoked to be on my bike (or skis, naturally).  I've been riding road bikes casually for a number of years now and have been looking for a group to join in the city.  I'm also interested in becoming a bit more competitive, perhaps join a race or two this summer and become more competitive next year. 

I get at least 2 training rides in a week as well as one long weekend ride across the GW, so looking at 100 - 120 miles a week when it all works out.  Looking to raise that and get out to Floyd Bennett Field this summer.  I live very close to Prospect Park, so you may see me doing laps in there.  If I'm not wearing the kit (btw, where can I purchase one?), you'll most likely see me in some Colorado or Utah themed cycling jersey.

Hello Kissena!

My name is Kristina Miele. I joined the club a month or so ago, but have been MIA (excuses excuses) due to major work overload and then was traveling in Iceland for a bit… but I’m back to the real world now, and wanted to introduce myself.

I was born and raised in the famous NYC bike destination Nyack, NY. I went to University of Vermont where I spent my senior year on the mountain biking team, falling in love with all things bike. I moved back to NY three or so years ago, and when I’m not biking or running or climbing or skiing etc. etc. I’m working as a structural engineer and living the good life in Brooklyn. 

I am transitioning over from the dark world of triathlon (but still dabble a bit, I’ll be at the NYC tri next weekend) and am excited to get some more experience on my bike and hoping to get road racing soon. Weekends are usually a bit crazy for me, but I look forward to trying to get out for some group rides. If anyone is interested in some training laps in Prospect Park early weekday mornings, I would love to find a few training buddies, and anyone who might be available for Friday rides I have some summer Friday’s off and am trying to squeeze in as many bike adventures as possible.

Looking forward to get to know some of the awesome Kissena Folk! (I suppose I’ll post this on the Ladies forum as well?)

Most weekdays you can meet some kissenas just inside the Grand Army entrance between 6 and 6:05am
