I'm Justin. I joined KCC back in mid June after a new members ride up to Piermont on the recommendation of Ilya and Kasia at Redbeard and some encouragement from Kayt Mathers, who I met riding prospect laps while she was still in NYC. After a few intense work weeks and getting rear-ended by a negligent cabbie (luckily emerged skin on, bones intact) the timing now seems better to say an official hey!

I'm an architect and design engineer working on building facades in the city. Grew up in MD. Moved here from Houston, TX in 2008 after college. I've been a 'Cat 6' commuter since back in TX. Started riding park laps and doing the usual ny/nj road rides about 3 years ago. 

In half-way decent shape but no major fitness or experience racing. I'm based in Greenpoint now. Really excited to join C or P park weekday morning and weekend GWB-based rides. Also hoping for a chance to do some touring this fall and next spring if that suits anyone's interest here!

I do want to get faster, so maybe with some help I'll harden up, get a license and train towards a first local cross race this fall and road next year.
