Introduce Yourself, Post a Photo - Mugshots
Hey everyone,
I just joined Kissena and I wanted to introduce myself. My name is David Hocker, and I’m a grad student living in north Brooklyn. I’m on the tail end of a Ph.D., which means that I’m just about done with collegiate cycling, and I wanted to get connected to the community here. My friend William Capitman said that this team was a blast, so I’m excited to get riding and meet you all!
I’m originally from Indiana, but never got involved in cycling until I moved out to the east coast for grad school. I’ve been racing collegiate road races with Princeton for about 5 years now, and it’s been great. I’ve been a cat 4 most of the time, and I’m hoping that I’ll have some more regular training structure now that I live in the same state as my team so that I can improve my racing.
Anyway, I’m excited to meet you guys. Feel free to ask me questions, say hi, or whatever.
I realize I don’t have a good photo of me in kit, so here’s a weird-looking portrait, and another as the result of letting Halloween costumes be allowed in a cyclocross race. I was the only one sporting a costume made for dogs.
later!
David

I've been road cycling since I was 13. At that time I was a committed long distance competitive swimmer -a focus into my 20s. Yet I always found time to do club rides and races, follow the UCI tours, and I worked as a shop mechanic for about 6 years.
Been busy riding and neglecting to introduce myself! My name is Jeff Lin and I joined about two weeks ago. I graduated last May (a year now holy cow) and work in finance. A friend of mine convinced me to get a road bike several years ago. I enjoyed riding recreationally but did not get into racing until this year.
I've gotten several under my belt and must say I am addicted. I am excited to meet more of you guys (hopefully at Orchard and Bear) and feel free to reach out!
Jeff
A couple of us will be at Bear with a 10am start time. If our paths cross once you're done with your race, please do stop by and introduce yourself, it would be great to say hello.
Good luck racing this weekend.
Bruce, I probably finished just as you were rolling out. Sorry to have missed ya!
