Club champs will be at the Kissena Fall Classic on 9/30.  Mark your calendars.
Reminder that the Kissena Fall Classic is *this Saturday Sept 30th*.

We determine the annual club champion by seeing who crosses the finish line first within their given category and/or race.

Caveats: 1. There has to be at least two racers in the category and/or race and 2. Rules apply to category 4+ only (motivation for cat.5 friends to get their race legs in and upgrade!).

Come on out to race, spectate and hopefully do a few post-race easy laps before coffee and (dare I suggest it) donuts??

Count me in!

I'm in to race the 1/2/3's.

Anyone joining me?
Tom sent out an email that the race is being postponed for weather/staffing related issues. Tis a bummer
Dang.  It's like deja vu all over again.
would have won, obvs. ;)
Was totally peaking for September 30.  Timed my training, including sessions behind the motor, weight, nutrition, altitude tent, everything.
there goes the season.
Seriously , how can there be any rain left =)

Famous last words.

Holy crap, stay safe out there friends.
Hill climb championship?
Seconded!
Guys, just ship the Jersey to @Matt Budofsky
Can we build in handicaps and points systems like they do in golf?
Mark your calendars!

Hell YEAH!

Reminder that we're going to hit Alpine on Sunday so bring your best legs, lungs, and Luigi costume and try to win the KCC Climbing Championships!
Not going to be able to make it tomorrow unfortunately. With my dad at the icu having a bad time. I would have won too.
^ sorry to hear Grant. Hang in there.
wishing all the best to you, your dad, and your family
Good luck Grant.
Sorry to hear that Grant.  Wishing for all the best.
Fast times yesterday.  At least, that's what I've heard.

Hoping someone can post the link to the strava results, and all the pics.
Dave Yang won the Inaugral Holiday Sweater Hill Climb, but was later relegated due to his illegal Dura Ace T-1000 crankset. Some people are saying he also put horse tranquilizer in the donuts.

Nah, it turned out to be a battle of the beards, with Greg Hoge dethroning Matt the reigning champion. Nice effort Greg!

The dust settled, the results are in, @GregHoge is the official 2024 KCC Champ! Congratulations, Greg, the coveted bowling trophy is yours to flaunt for the next 12 months!

...and not for nothing, Greg and Matt put in some monster minutes yesterday, easily in the top 10 when filtering for all time KCC records for this segment. FYI @CharltonSoesanto you are 3rd right behind Dave Gardinier and @Jules to round out the top 3 KCC spots of all time - you *have* to come out next year!

Greg looking pretty chill, or was it the horse tranqs in the dunkin kicking in...?

And 2022 Winner @Matt Budofsky, also bearded, also pretty chill...

Thanks again David for the donuts!!!

This overview tells me that either my setup is insanely efficient, or that my power meter is too pessimistic about my output.
Look alive! We're tentatively scheduled for Kissena Annual Hillclimb Championship on Saturday Nov 23rd or Sunday Nov 24th!

Bonus plan is to have our annual end of year party that same weekend so save the weekend dates!

As hill climbing is my primary weakness, I will not win, but I will compete! Looking forward to it.
