Can I marshal?
In
I am going to be in, though I am fat, slow and poorly socialized recently so who knows whether I'll get dropped on the first of the 3rd lap. I think you should all take bets as to how long it will take to drop me.
I'm in.
I am afraid I am going to miss out on the action. Got called to shoot the 5th ave mile. Have fun lads

Hey people who Charlie listens to....

I was thinking that I would like to have the club championships with some modified rules. Namely true, official criterium rules.

Rule 3d3(b) says Alternatively, lapped riders may be permitted to remain in the race and all will finish on the same lap as the leaders. At the finish, these riders will be placed according to the number of the laps they are down and then their position in the finish.

I would like guys who get dropped the opportunity to jump back in the field and give it another go. Same goes for mechanicals, I would like a free lap rule too.

Look, this is a fun event, and I want as many people as possible to get in the true pack racing experience for as many laps as possible.
^that^

especially for us dudes who are being forced by medical professionals to go so slow that 300 lb. dudes on cruiser bikes pass me on the "col d'bump" now.

looking forward to riding in the pack again!!

I'm in.
I'm in... for the 5s haha

I like Marc's idea. May be difficult to score without an honor system.
To be fair, and in all honesty I like Marc's suggestion but I actually prefer (to be perfectly candid) the model where we take a night trip the the Bronx Zoo, tranquilize and capture several large Bears, which we can chain to the fence by the finish line and then poke with fishing poles to get 'em riles up.  If we then RELEASE THE SEALS from the Prospect Park Zoo onto the race course when the whistle blows we will have ourselfs a Par-tay... not to mention a photo-op to end all photo-ops.

Just sayin'
^ aka, a typical sunday at 1 p.m. on the prospect park loop.
lulz

how about we break Jan out of prison and have him chase us in a Devil Take The Hindmost format

last person across the line each lap gets brutally clubbed and devoured by the man himself

there will be punch and pie

i think this is how it went down last year:

Eric: Jan, what did you eat nails for breakfast?

Jan: No, eggs.
Jan + Roy = hardest ride I've ever been on. Old bastards.

@mperlberg

Actually:

Eric: Jan, what did you eat for breakfast, nails?

Jan: I had a steak last night.

that was at FBF a couple of years ago, but it makes the point.

STEAK TONIGHT!!!

i signed him in at a floyd race a few years ago.  he had on a kissena jersey and some different bibs that said something about "international veterans" in french.

i asked him if he was a veteran and all he said was "two kids".

I heard there was going to be dope controls...(down periscope!)

I just finished Tyler Hamilton's book, and I'm now confident that I can pass any doping controls.  I'm still in.

In.
in (sans kit)
In case we don't get official word about the acceptability of my "jump back in if you are dropped" suggetion for tomorrow's race, please do so anyway. We won't tell! (Just don't sprint for placings if you are 1 lap or more down and don't jump in the break.)

Please wear new kit if you have it.
^ Mike wants people to look good while he's dropping them.
Can we say if you get lapped maybe stop on the bell lap and cheer everyone in?
