Charlie needs to suspend people like Lance for the whole series when he had 3-4 witnesses telling him about his awful behavior. Seems like nothing ever happens. Last year I stood at KOM and told dozens of people not to ride backwards. Nothing ever happened.

You know what's crazy about the whole riding backwards down the hill from GAP thing? It's that going a few extra meters to the left and continuing down Flatbush is so much more pleasant and probably quicker.

When I used to go backwards down the hill, I'd always be dodging traffic in the dark, and frankly it wasn't all that fun or quick.

@Ryan J _ It is horrible. Although I suspect that the asshat cyclist letter is a setup...you know, someone pretending to be a cyclist writing the letter in a way most anger non-cyclists.

I saw something today in PP I've never seen before: I rode from 4-5ish and didn't see anyone do anything stupid. It was almost 70 degrees. It was busy and semi-crowded. Nobody did anything super retarded.

I think I saw the 78th ticketing two guys for riding the wrong way today.

Pretty sure I saw surveillance cameras being put up on various streetlights today.  Look for the boxes with the telltale black fisheye...

I've already acquired the film, musical, and reality series rights so don't bother. For the film version Bruce Willis is attached for the guy and Judy Dench for the lady in the center. And 3 of the bike cops are actually non-union actors with day jobs as cops and they'll be thrilled to work for cheap on Broadway. I see big franchise potential here.

I watched the video, and all Prospect Park pedestrians interviewed said the same thing, in essence, that cyclists are a menace in the park, they go fast, they don't stop at red lights, they scream at people. And of course they have footage of multiple cyclists running the red (although no one in a team kit that I recognize).
