We did some shuffling of the fields due to really really low pre-reg numbers in a few categories. Some fields will now start together allowing overall for a later start. 

Check your start time carefully. 

Also, sorry you missed pre-reg but you can start in the back and do fine. Check out the 3/4 field as an alternative.

Yes, not sure where it was indicated otherwise. Day of registration does not benefit from crossresults ranking, since the numbers are already assigned they go straight to the back of the field.

Mike, Right....gotchya. Brain fart. So not used to the concept of "day-of" for cross. Haha.

Also, I'm concerned about the new combined SUPER MASTERS field. It's going to be 70+ riders racing together with some serious firepower at the front.

This past season, sometimes when fields were combined (MAC series has 35 and 55+ frequently start "together") then a couple of things happened that were not good. Results become a tangled mess as riders upon riders lap and get lapped. And guys get pulled. We now have a Master's "Super Field" with 70+ riders racing together, with legit pro-ish hammer heads Aspholm and Donahue (two guys who, race 1 minute per lap faster than me)  at the front, already starting 2 minutes in front of the 55+ field.

Done crunching data for the day - gonna get ready and then head up to the site to setup.

FWIW, this Mr. Crossresults.com is coming to our race. He tweets and posts things a lot. He's got like 2100 twitter followers.

I expect there will be some bar-cam video of our race going around the interweb. Probably not a terrible idea for our website, to have a section dedicated to video previews/reports of our race. What with this guy, gnarly monkey stuff last year, and Dirtwire this year. There will be a nice collection of stuff for people to watch.

Also the most amazing thing about this video? Watch Amos Brumble (cat 1 regional legit roadie stud) do the most bizarre freakshow dismount of a CX bike EVER. EVER.

I'm doing an 11AM -2PM registration shift at Supercross on Sunday and can take 2 people with bikes who don't mind sharing cabin space with a dog.  Leaving South Slope circa 9:15.  Post my 2 PM end of shift I will probably head back to Brooklyn but there are many variables at this point...including having to stop at Mattie's shop on the trip down... so you're better off finding alternate ride back south.

@marc. If people want separate fields, they need to register. We can't justify an hour of course time for 13 guys, fast or not.

I actually agree. I'm just wary about the results of combining 3 fields into one. I guess what I would have done is combine 35+ with the 55+ and let 45+ have at it themselves. Well, I suppose there are no perfect solutions. I'll just blame the Eric Ragots of the world for not giving us a healthier 35+ field.

The course really took shape yesterday. Todd, Myles and Ben spent the day, I joined them after a morning of bikereg related stuff. We worked until our headlamp batteries gave out.

Fall, is frequently the cheapest time of the year for car rentals. Summer time I'm usually around $40-60/day depending. $35/day is not uncommon for the fall/winter from Enterprise Fort Lee.

I'm just back from my surgical-esque strike on the elite field at Supercross.

Ditto on the surgical strike; too many kids, and TOO MUCH SUPER for me this year, but it was awesome to see all the familiar faces, and EVEN POMPOMS.

But heaven help you if you cross him (no pun intended)
