I think that closely mimics how it happened w/ cross, with the men having just a little more say, and a bit more old curmudgeoness. Eventually, we will all be on discs.

The Wout interview is cool, here he is crossing the line and collapsing. Talk about leaving it all out there.

Also noticed that despite epic gravel conditions, in the men’s race( at least, guys left in fotage from about 70km) non were using disc brakes, however seems like the women did use them
I basically agree with Eloy, though I'll add a second possibility.

That the pro men or their mechanics might be afraid of what five hours of gravel grinding will do to the pads on disc brake bikes.  And the riders and directors might also be concerned that if a rider flats, he'll be stranded until a far-off team car arrives.
Yacks cleared trails this morn
And then I helped an old lady cross the street

Now that's what I call cross-training.
my forearms are sore and in the spirit of no good deed going unpunished...I sawed through my earbuds

He also posted the ride in strava. Pretty obvious where he made the first move, almost at the start. 370 Watts for 45 minutes.

Is it just the crash saving, or the curb jumping at the roundabout or both?

I've read he also had to stop to change a wheel in there.
TBH it was the curb jump, but mostly the chase back to finish a rim width short. Damn he's fun to root for.
it keeps saying video not available

So much for Phil Gil's quest for monuments.  I'm starting to think Nibali is more likely to bag all five.

these are all the levels of awesome!
Snow days are an opportunity to clear trees...this mornings good deed ended quickly with a rusted saw blade that snapped...

flip side = more time to ride!  stashed the saw & bag in the woods and proceeded to shred

Oh I see something...Fresh Powder !!

I may have burped my 1st tire...on my way home I noticed the pressure had dropped significantly. Once home I  noticed it had gone from about 50 psi down to 30.  I pumped the tire back up, spun it and heard no sounds.  Pressure holding steady so far.  Yes...50 psi is what I'm running now.  I'm heavy...so's my 25 year old steel rhino. 40 psi felt too squish.  I upped the elastomer weight on the suspension stem & reinstalled that .  This set up feels better as the stem handles well enough and doesn't bob much at all.
stay toasty on your wind trainers my friends & fancy lads
In the process of deleting my Facebook account and this old thang turned up...
