To be fair, not all carbon frames are build the same. One other video featured the Trek Emonda and its frame construction was far superior.

Also important, Ti/Steel/Alu frames are also not all the same, crappy framebuilders abound, material is not the determining factor.

I would suggest, from my own experience, that metal frames fail about as often as carbon frames

 -- in fact, in 20+ years of riding and racing, the only frame I ever destroyed in a crash was made of steel.

I have a hard time drawing a straight line between aesthetics and actual performance/reliability. I'd like to see the frames twisted apart and then draw conclusions rather than just peering inside and saying "pooled resin is bad" etc.
