Didn’t this happen to Sagan last year at Tirreno? I think he Bunny hopped a curb during the TT to miss hitting a lady and her dog. Maybe they need one of those little “Bike race in progress” signs.

He got the push--Tony Taylor was in front of me and appeared to be dying and the Columbia University kid was sitting there waiting for Tony to pull him back to the field. And both were blocking me. A little friendly shove on the kid and a shout, got the kid going.Phil Maronilla said:

I've really come to look forward to Paris-Nice every March. Exciting racing--maybe it's because the riders' fitness is so variable--and the "Race to the Sun" concept is 100% cycling romance.

Damage is not too bad at Van der Poel: "No fractures, but bruises and scrapes"

Here are Wout's Pioneer Power Meter numbers:
220 W avg for 291 km (!!)
1345 W when he chased under the 1km, this was his highest power of the day (and I hated when he did it, because I knew he would not podium)

Pretty stark difference to Alaphilippe! 170w avg for 291km is crazy on the the other end of the spectrum. I’m guessing he’s just way lighter and maybe a bit savvier?

prob both, although ceartanly lighter, as the saying goes, those that win pedal the least, but when they pedal they pedal the hardest!RobertMullen said:Pretty stark difference to Alaphilippe! 170w avg for 291km is crazy on the the other end of the spectrum. I love this thread. I don't often have time to watch videos when they are posted but once in a while I get a free hour and get caught up.

Hey all, this weekend my wife made me a birthday cake (39! yrs) and I had to share. The moral of the story is:
- Always look sharp
- Victor Chan rocks
- Attack!
- Your partner recognizes the cycling in your life
