They're, like, so, like, iridescent or something.....I'm having a flashback.... Not sure how I feel about them.  Probably look totally different with a rider on them.  Ok I want one.
My mom just test rode a Breezer city bike in that color. She liked the bike, was okay on the color. That was my day yesterday by the way. 3 bike shops, 9 bikes...getting closer to a decision. She by the way is more of the Alyoshas/Vlad school of bike buying, rather than penny-pincher Bertucco school. Which at her age, what she's been through, I fully support.
NBCSports channel has been showing a 90min program about the history of the tour. It has some pretty neat footage. Very old stuff like the singlespeeds going over the Pyranees the first time they were included in the route, 60s & 70s stuff, etc. Though it does show some questionable things, like Fabio Casartelli bleeding out after crashing in 1996. I didn't need to see the river of blood flowing down the road. As his body lay there curled up and immobile.
@Jeff - the ending is hilarious, when it somehow comes to the conclusion that Thomas Voeckler is the new French hope for clean cycling.

i saw that too, and was similarly bemused.  how else, other than dope, to explain his having enough lung power to bark at the tifosi like a bulldog while in total oxygen depletion after riding up an Alp?
Oh you bicycle riders..with your two wheels..oh you unicyclists with your seats....

i just saw vollbach on cnbc!

they're doing a piece on expensive bikes (following NYT's lead no doubt) and were stationed at bicycle habitat.  not sure the content of the interview, but it was definitely him.  i am sad to report he wasn't wearing his kit.

I LIKE IT !!!!!  I think if the Beastie's built a bike...it would look like that.  If you have 3 minutes & thirteen seconds to spare...watch this vid.   RIP MCA

The Lone Wolf is on Rapha site.  He has finally arrived at the big time.

That seat looks so wrong.
Other than the seat, I can't distinguish that from a 2013 tour photo
The Lone Wolf = Mario Cipollini + unlimited Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough x glitter?
Marianne Vos hits a pothole during a sprint and manages to stay up.

Damn, like a BOSS.
that is some sweet handling. I would have pooped my bibs going sideways in the middle of a sprint.

^ Amazing footage! ^
Back in the day in NZ (1940's) we used to take newspaper for the descent, or if the day started with a frost—works a treat.

i'm feeling the pain, along with the joy, sitting through that video.

EDIT:  actually, it's just pain.
