What I noticed about Timm Rugg is that he crashes often. He even admits it in that blog posting above.
Well, why was he swerving next to that motorbike?
And why didn't he follow the other riders to the right of the downed official (who looked like she probably could have gotten up quicker to me)?

Seems like he marches to his own drummer.

Awesome Norm!

Norm you know you've found good stuff when William Gibson retweets it :) Chapeau!
Holy crap. You thought red hook was bad. Today. Much worse. http://vimeo.com/m/68001999 Tim rugg is the guy in the green jersey who tries bunny hopping the official. Dumb to have official there. Street needed barricades to deal with the two-way traffic on course.
Great course design.   WTF.....
I've traditionally ridden Shimano, but for the first half of this year, done most of my riding on SRAM.  In my opinion, SRAM is total shit.  No idea how anyone can think it's in any way a better system.  Anyways...

Despite what I think is a poor product, I must say, SRAM are spot on with their neutral support at races.  Cars with whole bikes on top, awesome bikes too: Specialized Venge with Zipp 404s.  For multiple fields.  Really is excellent that they are out helping us.  I mean, after all, we are bike racing, not that freak show you see in France once a year in July.  Excellent concept.  I wonder how much it costs??  I find myself liking the company which I think sells a poor product, because of this attitude.

This was at the MA state champs this weekend-  moto support!!  I think it's pretty neat.  Maybe it had wheels on it.  Fortunately for me, I didn't see the support vehicles during my ride!

aaaand.........it's on deadspin:

Love the "all wheel slide" by the last guy on the left - all white kit... totally CX worthy
Love it

Dombrowski: Fought hard in tough conditions
how does he produce power with these legs?!
He's got 35 seconds closing in on the mountaintop.  But I think he'll get caught now that the attacks have started and the 9km descent.

We've got DiDi the Devil and ANDY SCHLECK attacking?!

Haussler with a broken pelvis.  That dude has the worst luck.

I think it must be like chimpanzees...skinny arms and legs, but 5 times (or something ridiculous like that) as strong as a human.
Was just hanging out with former Kissena stalwart Brian Grundstrom, and he showed me this hilarious video. I think I've met the star of this video. Because everywhere I go, it's le velo.

I just made this... UHC blew my mind a little bit in Wilmington.

I could swear that 'Le Velo' was filmed on the slopes of Mt. Tam in Marin County.
At least the biking bits. . .
Boom

Damn Eloy!
OH YES!!!!!!

Check out Ragot flexing his quads a little after 1:15!!!!

There was a small crowd that was oooohing and ahhhhing Eric changing his wheelset before the qualifier.  I guess they don't teach you that in fixie school.

Anyway, I noticed the cameraman filming Eric and told him to flex his legs.  AND HE DID IT AND IT MADE THE CUT!!!!!

Between this and El Presidente topless photos cleaning up muck, this is why the club rulz.

Oh yeah, and strong riders too but whatever.

Small crowd? I recall us being encircled by photographers while Eric was doing that. Other fun notes from this video: Aaron warming up, and me in the background looking like a doofus while Eric is prepping.
