L&C Cup

i witnessed the remnants of the 123 crash at the start/finish i saw a guy holding his very clearly ruined mavic rim in his hand.  i walked over to offer words of condolence when i noticed him looking down at his frame; my eyes tracked to where he was looking and i then realized that what he'd also done was snap the seat stay on his s-works tarmac.  i backed off, knowing he probably needed some alone time.

and then i kissed my bike.  and vowed to never again buy a carbon frame.

Mark...you have just emerged from a herd mentality with many names i.e.; "the carbon cloud" & "the cult of carbon".  Now that you have been deprogrammed, you will need some time to recover and reestablish your bearings in life.  You may find yourself excommunicated from people you once called friends.  You are experiencing all the aftereffects of leaving the church of Scientology.  People will try to make your life difficult...just remember that you are not alone and always welcome at the support groups meetings.
Yacks

p.s.  I have enclosed a pic of my 14 year old titanium Bianchi for support.
@yacks ...so...what kind of wheels do you have on your race bike?

[insert enormous winky face here]
Those are carbon decals...you fell for it Yangs !
wish i hadn't missed it.  sounds like quite an adventure.  i look forward to next year's; i won't miss all of them!
Brendan you can take any one of those competitions sans the over 45 category.  This is if you do not land a job in the legal profession that sees you working 80 hour weeks and stress eating....

Well who is doing what to whom ?  I hear Aaron wants the dots...If nobody wants the green...then to quote the great Johan Bruyneel, "Might as well win".   Are there any takers for the overall?
Ay ay ron, I accept your kind words and nomination.  I would like to go for the cat 4 yellow this season in the L&C Cup.

Full disclosure: I may have to miss a race or two for work.  Not sure of my schedule yet.

Go for the Yellow Brendan.  You can do it.  You'll make club history.

This is good news.  Brendan I believe this is the year that Kissena puts together the finale train.  If we can deliver you to the last traffic light I'm sure you can finish it.  The team needs to mark out the last 1/2 mile of the race and designate 3 or 4 guys who are going to drill it = 20 seconds all out efforts.  I believe a big part of making this work is having at least 3 guys who will sweep Brendan's wheel and take up that slipstream space.  Brendan can freelance and win these sprints but you always run the risk of crashes and getting boxed in as it gets dodgy in the Prospect sprint.  Wherever we set up the sprint, I volunteer to take that first dig.  I think a 3 man train could work but it's gonna have to be really fast...somebody get out in the park and figure out where to launch this thing...20 second efforts = 1:20 out from the line.  Thoughts? Volunteers?

@Malcolmson (where is he lately) did a fantastic satellite view once...
I'm planning on being part of the yellow train.
Wait, that didn't sound right...
We need a catchy name for the train members..."bad company" "the orphans"...etc.  anything from the movie The Warriors would suffice...
It's starting much earlier this year.  I'm going to have to miss the first race, and probably the second, but this is in my sites when I start training again.  Lead outs need practice - I'm joining the train when I can, and hope we can set up times to meet in the park to do secret training for the W.

Is that spring I feel?
