Hot bird is a great idea. they have great beer and snacks and a large outdoor space.
I also like the idea of Velska - the fact that they're supporting a racing team and they have pierogies, but it's kinda a stretch for me to trek into manhattan just for drinks.

A bunch of us used to do a pretty regular grub-on at Franklin Park after Floyd - it takes a few times to get over the self-consciousness of being all swamp-ass in lycra, but I can personally attest that Al Barouh chatted up a lovely lady while in his kit and stocking feet.
