suhweet - thanks Jules!
Seems like the term "sticky" has disappeared.  Are there still items taht function in teh same way?  Also, the font and size seem to have changed on my page.  Is this a preference I can set?

@mugwump
The font/size has been specifically chosen to annoy you. It appears to be immutable.
Several categories have been designated to stay at the top of the listing similar to the old "Stickies"
Not sure who is allowed to designate categories as such or even how to recognize the tagging. But they have an additional gear icon on the upper left. I emailed the zoo keeper to request a category become sticky.
Zookeeper is moving homes today. Please direct all technology requests to Myles.

Can I still be a PHANTOM? I miss being a phantom.... lurking....watching...sneaky reportering.

I chose "invisible" setting and it didn't seem to do the same thing.  Ghost or spectre is also acceptable.

Thanks!

Oh, Jules, when can all 150 of us come over and stink up your new place?
anyone else having an issue where an entire category appears blocked out in dark blue on the main discussions page (making the text nearly illegible) once you've completed reading all messages in a thread? never happened to me before today..
Happened to me in IE at the office but not mobile.
Any of my tech-savvy peeps have experience using scripts in google docs? Autocrat in particular? I found a weird bug and need help sorting it out.

kthxbi
BTW, the tweaks that have been applied to the visuals of the new site are helping immensely. Hiding the little button thingies did a lot to save my eyes from overload.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys.
Agreed. More contrast between threads with unread posts and the other threads would be nice, as well. It's hard for me to tell the difference.
The speed of the new forum seems to have improved drastically. I'm not getting any delays or error messages anymore.

i agree with jeff: not enough distinctino between threads that have been read or not and there's too much space between thread titles as well I find. A more compact listing would be nicer I think.
I would like it if a pleasant scent could emanate from my computer screen as I browse. Perhaps something that rotates seasonally - hot chocolate in the winter, fresh cut grass in the spring, swimming pool chlorine in the summer, apples and cinnamon in the fall.

Or whatever, I'm not picky
I'm very picky. Chlorine smell is carcinogenic. And cut grass forces me to remember my childhood servitude.
This feature should be customizable.

I was hoping it would do my laundry too.
How about if we combine some threads (e.g. wrenching workshop and leadout workshop) into one sticky thread entitled "Workshops" or maybe "Mentoring" which would then offer one-stop shopping.

done
I disagree. If we could have sub threads than this makes sense. But now the leadout thread has very off topic things about wrenching in it. We're going to have lots of threads no matter what we combine, but having them all together is just as unwieldy as all separate.

Please divest the riding workshops and mentoring from the mechanical. They really don't go together.
Having trouble posting photos - how to do?
Try "attach a file" button to insert your own photo or you can use the little icon of an image in the upper right to put the link to a public picture

@Jules Thanks for the combination of DZ mustache and Rock&Republic Escalade.

OK, so that works - but I'd like to be able to post several (bigger) photos in a post.  I've tried pasting URLs using the "insert image" icon but no dice.
@Tito you need to insert the "image url" just right click on the image and you'll get it.
Can a forum admin do something about the dark gray highlighting (er, downlighting) of *some* Discussion Topics? The blue link text is quite difficult to read...

P.S. Here's what I'm talkin' about... see them gray bars in the attached image.

Weird. I see shading, but it is much more subtle and letters are visible. Must be your browser.
