Forum Q & A

It's browser dependent. My guess is that Norm has IE8. I get the same issue at my office (running IE8) but don't get it at home on Firefox.
I don't like how the first line of the post is right up against the time stamp.

Sometimes I miss the first line, especially if people put a blank line right after it in an attempt at dramatic formatting. I wonder if it would be better to put a carriage return at the beginning of every post.

Like this!

yep on the browser dependency. I'm lashed to IE8 at-work. It's fine and readable on me Macs at-home.
oh boy. We will look in to ie-8 issues. David will you try again with the photo of what you are seeing?
Testing....having a problem posting.

If I leave a blank line before the message

Then I think the formatting looks better after the post
dafuq is up with our website?

oh *whew* - I thought I was the out-of-touch tech-adverse Dad who doesn't understand the internets.  Thanks Willy for the positive affirmation!
I see it too.  It did this over the weekend and we thought we fixed it.
I know this has been explained several times before, but how do you insert a pic from a link (say from Victor's site) to appear in the post vs having it appear as a link? I've tried it several different ways with no luck.
@ Jeff

Normally you'd right-click the image and choose "copy image location" to get the URL for that image.

Then you use the little icon up here to insert that link.

Victor has his images protected so that you can't just "right-click" to get the url so...

You can either use a screen grab utility like Snagit if you want to embed the image (as an attachment) or just paste the url from his website...
Thanks.

Anyone figure out how to edit a post via mobile interface?

My view in my browser has now changed to this.

How do I go back to stickies on top and newest posts under those?

I don't want categoried breakdowns of the posts.

Click on the 'discussions' link at the top of the page. You can then bookmark the corresponding URL for future reference. Or maybe Jules can change the default view back to the way it was before.
I have a little Red 1 next to my name above, like there's some notification I have to see to make it go away, but I click on my name and can't make it go away.  It's driving me nuts.

John, it's a notification that you earned a badge.  Click your name and it'll go away.
I did jules, it's still there.  I also clicked on every badge to no avail
I actually have the same problem, but mine's a 37!

It is slightly annoying, but I hadn't really thought to mention it.
Guys, that's the number of posts you've made, I believe.

Nope. But whatever - Ima let it be there.
It's the number of notifications you have. As far as I know there is no way to get rid of it.
Mine says 41. I assumed it was some kind of robo-forum taunt about my current max watts when riding the trainer. Well, forum, let me assure you that it's actually the number of cupcakes I plan to eat this weekend.
DAMN!  What's that calendar at the top of the forum?  It's the CLUB CALENDAR BABY!

If you have an event you want to add just email events@kissenacycling.com

ICAL link for your smartphones

XML link for your non "i" devices

HTML link

Is this a trick question?

^yes
The calendar at the top of the forums is giving me an acute case of performance anxiety.
