Nelix it's hard to say; races starts at 6am so we'll be rolling 7:15-7:30 is my best guess...

I'm in. Hope to see you all on Sunday. I saw a thread about trying to keep the digits from freezing. A trick I learned for the hands is coating them in vaseline or similar substance then using latex hospital gloves to prevent sweating into the fabric of the gloves. When it gets really cold I'll use a cheap handwarmer as well. Usually good for 2 hours in really cold conditions. 

I'm probably in. 8am at BB, my few winter gloves in hand. What's the scoop on weather-related cancellation? How bad does it have to be?

@Erika: There have been some pretty epic winter rides over the years. One of Keith's birthday rides to Bear Mtn was conducted at sub 20 temps. We have certainly had group rides in the low 20's. If it snows, it becomes dangerous. So Sunday will most likely hinge on the precipitation. In principle, I'm looking forward to it, though I'm not promising to come if its truly frigid.

We'll make a call Saturday if there's impending weather doom. But if the forecasts fail us, we of course reserve the right to cancel Sunday morning as well.

While these prospects may be ill attired for the weather, which is where we can be sympathetic and lend support, do they know that they their bike needs to be mechanically prepared since aforementioned sympathy will dissipate quickly if we are held up in the freezing cold for flats and mechanical issues that could be easily avoided.

Ian, you make a good point. We will be sending out another email tomorrow regarding weather/cancelation and we'll also bring this up.
