I don't know the guy personally, but from the bit I read about him when news of his positive came out (including, his somewhat lame mea culpa). I get the impression that he may be the type of guy who gets some sort of creepy buzz from mentions like that.

Jon Chodroff was a category III racer and on the crew team at Yale, when the Yale crew seems to have made a group purchase of EPO from Joe Papp.
Chodroff is from Chadds Ford, PA, but his time trial prowess netted him a ride on the NYC-based team that is now Stan's/AXA/Proferrin. He won the amateur TT nationals at that discipline, turned pro for OUCH, and was on a second pro team when, for some reason, his name popped up on the infamous Papp list.

Since Lisban Quintero is back, I figure I'd refresh people's memory of his transgression.
What's funny is that in 2010, when he won the Basking Ridge Gran Prix race a Wednesday night event, he had been dropped at the Wilmington crit the Saturday before, and was still only at my level the next day, during a handicap event at FBF, and then he goes out and beats a whole bunch of professional crit riders three days later. And it was hardly the first time I saw him go from mediocre to amazing in a short period of time. He probably just slept a bunch and got a good massage.

And I know this comment is going to draw the ire of Keith and others, who hate baseless speculation, but watching Cesar Marte at ToAD was bizzare. He rides super comfortable in the top 15, hardly looking like he's working, then I check the results...and he's nowhere, not even listed as a finisher. I don't know if he's doping, or just a dope. But something fishy is going on. He's riding Iron Hill this weekend, but not for Mengoni for Champ-Sys. Whatever that's all about.
