Cross practice
I've come to find that cross is fun when you don't have to jump off and on your bike or carry it up hills.

Also I'd be all for a Redhook type cx race. How do we make that happen?
While you fancy lads were licking your cones...Yacks was cranking out hot laps...and crushing tubes
Myself and the previous owner had the same tubes in that rear wheel since 1985...and Yacks blew it up in 2 weeks.

thanks everyone for coming out, that was sweet fun! special mention for Patrick, Myles & Dale for putting it all together! so much awesome!!
Great time seeing everyone out at the CX clinic today. Always good to work on those skills. I am glad I brought stakes and tape because we had a lot of fun on the little section set up by Myles "the course whisperer".

I posted some quick barrier videos. They're private so please don't share the links.

Where do people plan on doing Tim's 30/30/30/30 workout? I figure we'll look like idiots just jumping off of our bikes in the middle of the prospect park loop and running for 30 seconds.

Plenty of single speed cyclocross to go around.

Town hall - Sept 24

Ahem.

He's referring to fixed-gear cyclocross.  The concepts of freewheeling and braking in cyclocross are not only ridonkulous, but dangerous.  ;)

Cross practice
They wait till after I leave to get soft-serve.  Figures

But I played with Legos for a good part of the afternoon.  so there.
I guess I was thinking more like a "clandestine" type of operation.  The unsanctioned, word-of-mouth, invite only, super street cred having, cousin of RHC.  The Pepsi and VW sponsorship can come later.

Don't they have that every Wednesday night at Randall's Island??
what phillip said.
I believe it's called Thursday AM CX practice on the super secret CX practice course in a well known Brooklyn park, attended by local racers and associated rapscallions.

Randall's Island?  Pfft do you even Brooklyn, bro?

Early AM?  Isn't that what yucky road racers do?  Any self respecting outlaw racer only races between the hours of 10pm and 5am.

(I am terrible at being snarky.)

(Also my body aches from all the running and jumping.)

(Why?)

Meet at GAP at 6AM Wednesday for 30/30/30 workout in a secret location where anchovies get the "Livin' On A Prayer" treatment.
Can't do Tuesday or Weds mornings as I have to leave for work by 7:15am.  Thursday am happening?
