Keith Garrison (formerly Pink Rhino , now King Cog) had some good results.
Willis Johnson (Willis isn't his real name, though, so I don't know what you'll see on results pages... William?) had a killer season. Not the skinniest, but seriously a great breakthrough season for him.

I too, in Brooklyn fashion, was given the name "skinny jeans" by some of my former Jersey bretheren because of my killer preride outfits. http://shop.outlier.cc/shop/retail/slim-dungarees.html let you ride in style, everyone! (how's that for some shameless promotion?!)

Final superprestige race:

watch closely around 2:35-2:50. Very effective use of the kick-push technique. Talk about knowing the course and having a plan.

Definitely much faster than trying to ride the whole thing and stalling out. Or even getting off and running the whole thing. Might be a good technique to handle normally rideable climbs that get clogged up in early laps of our races, like at Nittany...

Here's an interesting quote from Sven Nys...

At the finish in Middelkerke many riders were clearly longing for time off the bike. When talking with Nys it became obvious that he thought completely differently. "I will not rest a lot. For a few years now I've been advised to keep the engine running. At my age it's hard to get back to a high level when you're off the bike for a month. I'm not tired of the competition, I'm actually longing for more," Nys said.

I wonder how this concept meshes with the commonly accepted wisdom that it's easier for the well trained athlete to more quickly get BACK in shape? I don't think the ideas are mutually exclusive, but as I sit here typing this with my love-handles getting in the way of my elbows, it's something I'm thinking about.

Isn't that the Chicane that's been on sale all season?

http://www.challengetech.it/products/cyclocross/chicane-044/en

sure looks the same... but says it's different

Stef Wyman showed us this prototype Challenge tubular with more aggressive side knobs from the Limus mud tyre, and a central strip that is a little narrower than the Chicane, with a larger, grippier file tread. It's said to roll quickly, and at usual low 'cross pressures still grip well in a straight line due to the taller side knobs. There's no name for the tyre yet, but expect to see it on sale before next season.

It's the extra-chicaney Chicane

Awesome, Extra-chicaney Chicane for me please!
It's TRUE!
Golf is the new Cycling...

I know this is a long way out but for some reason Iron Cross is tempting me. Anyone slightly interested?

Believe me, this race is the reason you ride. Put it in your calendar.

Granogue "The Queen of Midatlantic CX" is happy to announce a return to Cyclocross. The date will be 9/14/14. We are also happy to announce the new promotors.

Hey, I'm planning on heading to either Sprain Ridge or Cunningham next weekend on the 'cross bike. Anyone interested? SUPER low key, just out to play and have fun.
Quit avoiding the road...organize a group ride over the GWB. ;-)
Spotted NYC's favorite CX couple Britlee & Chabs today in Prospect Park.  Looked like Chab was wearing (gasp?) un-branded CRCA kit - is there some news we missed?

Here's what I'm going to guess...despite being supposedly, or what I assumed, was a super well funded team. Foundation recently leaned on (according to a FB post I saw) New York State Bike Racing Association and someone else (maybe CRCA?) to send the Murphy brothers to Madison for Elite nationals.

So maybe CRCA is footing the bill for Chabs and in exchange he'll wear CRCA kit, like he and a bunch of other dudes did when they raced, I think it was Philly last year?

It could just be kit from the composite CRCA team they sent to some races last year.
You guys are so weird. Just ask him...
