OOOhhh man....late 80's annodized teal coming my way...I plan on playing Bon Jov's Slippery When Wet album while I assemble her.
anybody buid a skeletor yet...thoughts?
Picked-up mine today... Jeff at Signature Cycles built her up for me and reported no probs. I took her out for a ride in the park tonight and I was very pleased with what I was feeling. Good fit and nothing but "yes" when I pushed her.

Today marked my first 100 mile ride on the Spooky... felt fine to me. The hurt was in my muscles, not in my bones or contact points. It's true that alu gives sharper feedback over the bumps --with the front-end going "whap" and the bump/shock is over in an instant. That's just a different kind of discomfort than my stainless steel IF, which has more spring out of a hole or rough area, and the spring tends to unsettle me off my saddle position moreso than the Spooky.

To my body, the rides are different but both are comfortable. And rough pavement is rough.

And because the Spooky feels more responsive on hard out-of-the-saddle romps and fantastic through turns --I am preferring it over my IF. Of course, the Spooky is setup a bit differently (1cm longer reach, and 44cm bars --compared to 40cm on the IF), so making those changes to the IF may make for a noticeably better handling rig.
My Spooky numbs my hands if the road surface is particularly shitty. Some gel tape or gel gloves will likely help. I can stay in the drops forever on the bike, so it must fit me better. My back does not bother me as much on this bike, so it must fit me better. I can descend WAY faster on this bike, so it must be stiffer. I can climb faster on this bike, so it must be stiffer. It will buck me when I hit a big pothole or drain cover, whereas the ti would sort of melt over that stuff. The bike just feels fast. Maybe a product of the increased road feel or increased stiffness. Either way = me likey

Eric,

If there are any unclaimed, I'll take one.
Is this still open? If so I would like 2 in red please.

I don't know who claimed what. I just grabbed what I could. If someone wants to prioritize the claims, that will be great.
